    UNWND Boutique Hotel is a stylish boutique stay with plenty of personality. The funky artwork gives the property a unique, creative vibe, and the complimentary breakfast was excellent, with a good variety and quality. A nice bonus is the free sauna, which made the stay even more relaxing. Getting around is easy via GrabTrike, although shopping options nearby are quite limited. Overall, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a peaceful, aesthetic getaway with thoughtful amenities.

    A really neat boutique hotel. Great atmosphere. Clean comfortable rooms. Great staff. The breakfast was not very good. I would definitely recommend it.

    I recently stayed at UNWND Boutique Hotel in Dumaguete and had a mix of positive and frustrating experiences. On the positive side, I really appreciated the thoughtful touches during our stay. The welcome drinks, the welcome plate with cookies, and the complimentary brownies delivered at the end of the day made us feel genuinely welcomed. The food was also excellent and was one of the highlights of our stay. However, there were a couple of issues that significantly affected our overall experience. First, the location pin on Agoda appears to be near the Dumaguete Boulevard, which was one of the reasons I chose the hotel. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I discovered that the hotel is actually much farther from the Boulevard than the map location suggested. This was quite disappointing and frustrating, as the location played a major role in my booking decision. Second, and more importantly, during checkout, I was informed that I needed to pay for the rooms even though I had already paid in full through Agoda. I had to dispute the charge and wait for the matter to be verified and resolved. The delay caused by this issue resulted in us missing our scheduled boat trip home. What made the situation even more frustrating was that if there had truly been an issue with the reservation payment, it should have been raised during check-in rather than at checkout. In most hotels, any payment discrepancies are clarified upon arrival, giving guests an opportunity to address them before the end of their stay. While I appreciated the hotel's hospitality, food, and thoughtful amenities, the inaccurate location information and the checkout payment dispute had a significant negative impact on what would otherwise have been a very enjoyable stay.
