The room was tastefully decorated and spacious, with wooden floors, a small table, TV, and curtained beds. The room was very clean. Water, coffee, tea, and snacks are provided downstairs. The hostess is a very warm person, too. Even though my train arrived at 12:30 AM, she stayed up to welcome me. She gave a small gift, provided a free bike to use, and helped me arrange a taxi to the train station upon my checkout. It really felt like being a guest at someone else's beautiful home! It will be my go-to place when I come back to Hualien.
Great stay! The location is a little bit "far" (i.e., 10 minutes) from the city center, but I think this is actually better because it means the surroundings are more peaceful and less touristy.
