Taroko Bay B&B

Amazing experience; first and most important are the hosts who really care about their guests and helped us make the stay a truly enjoying experience. They helped with the little details which make your trip easy when you are in a foreign country, such as arranging taxis, planning bus schedules, etc The room was spacious, super clean, and had a balcony including ocean view. Electrical outlets were numerous and placed well. All sort of lighting, more discrete or intense, are available. The breakfast (traditional or western, we had the former) was freshly made in the joint kitchen by the landlady and included lots of delicious fruits, wraps with eggs, and dumplings with meat. We enjoyed it sitting at a rustic table with a view on the pacific ocean. Ocean is only 50m away. There are benches (some covered by roofs) arranged on the dyke on which you can have a walk or jogg along the coastline. Taroko national park can be reached by a shuttle bus within about 25 min. Bus stop is only 5min walking distance from the B&B.

Just great ... the beach is a bit rocky, so I am not sure if swimming and leisure at the beach is a real option (yet I didn't try myself).

Location. Owner. Breakfast. All great!

This was a lovely Bed and Breakfast at the shore. We were there in winter, so it wasn't a jump in the water time. But a nice space for the whole family to hang out in. The rooms are big, with great balconies that I expect are fantastic in summer. We were out there anyway because we loved the sound of the waves. Breakfast was nice, we all sat at a long table and got to interact with the hosts, which we enjoyed. And it was an easy drive to Taroko Gorge, which was perfect for us as we wanted to spend the day there.

I wouldn't say I didn't like it, but the decorations reminded me of suburban homes in the US in the 2000s. Actually, a lot like my sister's house. Not my vibe but also very comfortable. So it's definitely a "your mileage may vary" place. I'm more austere in my decorating tastes. But again, not a diss on the place, just a description.
