This is a beautiful location for a stay and we just love the whole ambience of the house. As global travellers who stay in all sorts of places we could pull up points about St Nicholas House but to do so would be completely inappropriate in our view. If you want a really nice, historic stay in a period setting with furniture and fittings that are in keeping with the venue, if you want something that is not ordinary, then this is the place to go. Your accommodation is beyond generous and the people are genuine; there is even a sense that you are in an old style country property as guests of a family.
Only the indolent would comment here.

Lovely building full of character the room was big and comfortable.
Sadly it was very near a busy road. And with the weather extremely hot . We didn’t sleep well. But that isn’t the owners fault.
