Gite Cal Pai

Loved the communal feel of the large breakfast table. Superb rustic style bread, local cheese, ham and a range of home made jams and honey. Loved the rice pudding too. Unusual for me to have this for breakfast but I'll definitely will try it again even though mine might not be quite as good. Oh I forgot, lovely very creamy butter. Never tasted any quite so creamy before. And this is just the breakfast. Found myself on our second day dreaming about what the menu would be for dinner as the previous evening had been so good. I was not disappointed when a delicious tomato tarte was followed by blanc de poulet (so moist) with petite epeutre and an onion cream sauce. The dessert was superb too but the previous night's tarte aux abricots was the real star for me. The area is wonderful too. Don't miss the Vallee des Fleurs. I have never seen so many beautiful wildflowers before and all in such a relatively small area.

I'm a fruit love so a little bit of fruit would have been good.

This is a great place to stay for a few nights. We were surprised by the amazing food and hospitality. The rooms are very clean and have everything we needed.

The lack of locks on the room doors

L'emplacement est idéal pour séjourner dans les Pyrénées. Les propriétaires sont attentifs au bien-être des clients. Le petit déjeuner et le repas du soir sont un régal de produits faits "maison" et cuisinés avec art.

La localización

Espacio común pequeño y las comidas compartes mesa y si no hablas francés…. La cena es lo que hay y sí que es verdad que estaba elaborado y era de calidad pero si no te gusta o prefieres una cena más ligera no hay opción. La familia que estaba alojada con nosotros los niños algunos no comieron nada y se desperdicia comida
