Genuine, refined hospitality and distilled Gemütlichkeit between Trier and Bernkastel.

This was just the relaxing drop of Gemütlichkeit and Genuss that I needed — and even a bit more. The staff were friendly, professional, flexible, and attentive.It was easy to get in touch, and I received a warm, caring welcome in a building that breathes generations of winemakers. I could safely store my bike, enjoy a relaxing sauna session, and afterwards have a delicious meal. Their wine is excellent, and the food — by German standards — is very well prepared and reasonably priced. The restaurant’s atmosphere is warm and inviting, with beautiful wood carvings: "urig" with a modern touch and a panoramic view of the Mosel. From one window, you can even see the old church building. My room was spacious, the bed cozy, and the bathroom nicely renovated. Breakfast was good, and I especially appreciated that the eggs were boiled exactly how I like them: just long enough for the yolk to become thick and creamy without turning hard. If you need a place to stay between Bernkastel and Trier, I can fully recommend this cozy and refined Weinhotel in Piesport. It truly is a Goldtröpfchen! At the very least, you should stop by to enjoy some of their excellent Mosel wines.

Just a few small things: 1. the TV in the neighbouring room disturbed me a little. I’m not sure whether it was because they were very loud or because the walls were a bit thin. 2. My room had carpet flooring; since I have a dust allergy, I usually prefer other types of floors. though, I didn’t have any allergic reaction during my stay; so the rooms must be very clean or dust free. 3. It would have been nice to find a bottle of sparkling water or something similar in the room. There was a small fridge, but it was empty. 4.I enjoyed the Hirschragout — it was nicely prepared with bell peppers — but the flavour went slightly in the direction of goulash, which didn’t pair that well with the Preiselbeeren. Fortunately, they were served separately, so I could leave them out.The flavour reminded me a bit of goulash, which was interesting, though it didn’t pair that well with the Preiselbeeren. These are just minor details compared to my overall sense of contentment — I truly felt that I got everything I needed, and even a little more.

Overnight in Piesport

The ride down towards the hotel at Piesport was beautiful and the views were amazing. The Hotel itself is set back from the main road by the bridge, and has lovely outlooks from the terrace. The restaurant is very good, (although we did have a slight issue with a couple of things we felt shouldn't have been in our dishes), the staff were quite apologetic, and dealt with the issue. The room was nice, clean tidy, and comfortable. There was a good fan supplied for helping to keep the room cool in the evening as well, and a fridge (although it was empty).

As mentioned above, we had a slight issue with dinner, where we had a couple of things we felt shouldn't have been in our dishes, but this was dealt with. Apart from that, it was a pleasant overnight stay.

A great place for an overnight stay or a short break.

Hotel is surrounded by wonderful scenery. Our room was very spacious and had a great view. The whole hotel was sparkling clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a lovely terrace where we had dinner in the evening. The menu is not extensive but food was tasty and the wine was superb. Very nice breakfast in the morning. Parking was no problem.

The Lady of the house did everything herself including check-in, check-out, breakfast. Nice location in the old Piesport and easy car park.

Very good

The surroundings of Piesport are very beautiful but there is not much to do in the town. The restaurant is nice with a good variety of the owner's own wines. Easy to find parking but the hotel itself has only a few places.

Beautiful relaxing location and hotel

Breakfast on the terrace - perfect. Delightful large room friendly helpful staff. It was ideal for us.

Overall when we arrived the hotel felt as if it wasn't really open - many of the chairs etc on the terrace were stacked up for no apparent reason. Reception needs to be more clearly identified.

A hard to beat hotel and restaurant.

The location on the bank of the Mosel is excellent. The staff were welcoming and offered an excellent service. Breakfast was brilliant with an emphasis on quality rather than quantity. The room was large, quiet and comfortable. Evening meals were superb with plenty of variety and, again, excellent service.

The only obvious improvement would be air conditioning in the rooms. A fan was provided however.

Keurig hotel, eenvoudige vrij kleine kamers. Erg schoon met krachtige douche. Sommige reviews spreken van slechte bedden, hier was bij ons geen sprake van. Super ontbijt, en alles heerlijk vers. In het restaurant kun je ook uitstekend eten. Je moet de beoordeling van een 10 duidelijk zien in prijs/kwaliteit!

sehr schöner Kurzurlaub, bei bestem Wetter

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Piesporter Goldtröpfchen. Der Ort ist eher unspektakulär, bietet aber viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Die Zimmer waren zweckmäßig und sehr sauber. Das Bad war groß und hatte diverse Abstellmöglichkeiten. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Es gab frisches Obst und Gemüse. Für jeden war etwas dabei. Man sollte unbedingt abends im Restaurant essen. Das Essen ist sehr gut mit einigen ausgefallenen Kreationen ( u.a. selbstgemachtes Rieslingeis, sooo lecker). Wir werden wieder kommen, aber mit Fahrrädern.

Een leuk hotel voor een weekend moezel.

Een leuk hotel met een prachtig terras waar je iets kon drinken maar ook in de avond eten. Het eten is lekker, bediening top! Gastvriendelijk ! Het ontbijt in de ochtend verdient een tien!

Het gezellige restaurant dat door het hotel uitgebaat wordt. Er is een mooie spijskaart. Ook de wijnen van het domein kunnen ter plaatse aangekocht worden.
