Camping Les Peupliers

Clean comfortable except for one single bed.

The mattress on the single bed was very hard.

Really lovely - perfect in every way - clean and comfortable. Loved the sauna as it was chilly when we stayed. Loved their wooden decking and regular street food stall they had - best moules frites ever

There’s wasn’t much I didn’t like. Maybe the WiFi we paid for was a bit patchy

Great location and the pool area is nice. The staff were friendly and efficient with check in and check out.

The layout of the trailer wasn’t great because there was nowhere to put our luggage. We had to basically unpack everything. We stayed for 4 nights as a family of 4 and they wouldn’t even give us a second roll of toilet paper and told us we would have to wait for their store to open to purchase some. No matter how long you stay for, whether it’s one night or a week, apparently you can only get one roll of toilet paper which just seemed so silly to me. This was our most expensive camping stay and others have been much more accommodating even when we were staying for less time. They seemingly try to charge extra for every little thing.

Lovely location and fantastic for couples or families a really lovely family campsite with good value chalets in walking distance to La Flotte which I think is the nicest village on the island. Tip visit the aquarium at La Rochelle. Catch bus at La vierge in La Flotte but get off at La Rochelle TRAIN STATION ! it’s the easiest place to catch a bus back to the island as other stops don’t give information and you will get lost !

Nothing. But they have a strict cleaning policy. If I went again I would pay extra for them to clean chalet.
