Location is excellent. Just off the Nakamise. If you are visiting Asakusa Sensoji and Kaminarimon, you are practically there. The nearby stations include: Metro Ginza, Tukuba Ex, and Tobu line. Ride any line for few stations, you can transfer to any Metro, Toei, JR, and Keisei lines and very convenient. This is a privately owned small hotel. They take pride in cleanliness. We had suites on 5F and 6F. (Each suite has 4 people occupancy limit.) The view from window and sliding door small balcony at night is awesome as I see illuminated pagoda and temple building. Tatami floors are nice. Futons were comfortable. 5F has 2 chairs to sit. I stayed in 6F which had few stools in the dressing area. If you can't sit on the floor, you can go to lobby in 1F where living room style chairs and a couch are available. 6F has two big bathrooms, one for men and one for women (they switched sides as one is bigger than another). Hinoki (a special wood, considered supreme quality for bath tub) tubs were exceptional. There is a "in use" sign you manually flip at the door. So it is usually a private use. Apparently some foreigners either can't read English nor Japanese 'OR' don't care, and entered the bathroom while I was using. It is normal for sharing with others when using Japanese 'public bath', it didn't bother me. One way to find out if anyone is using is presence of someone's slippers in the entrance, FYI. Staff speaks Japanese and English. Everyone is very helpful, kind, and contagious. They provided umbrellas when raining. Air conditioning can be set at 18 C which was very comfortable. Exceptions of their designated cleaning time, there is essentially no wait time for the elevator. Disposal tooth brush with tooth paste, hair brush, cotton swabs, cotton pads, facial soap, and facial moisturizer in 1F, liquid body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in bathroom. All are great quality. Coffee, cold water and tea, and etc. in the lobby.
I don't have dislike or complaints, and just wanted to share FYI. Although they are flexible and provide "do not disturb" signs, the hotel requests the guest to vacate the room mid-day as the staff are eager for through daily cleaning of our rooms. When our babies and the mom stayed through in the room, they either provided and or exchanged clean towels, took trash out of room, and provided what we requested. So, in essence they provided great service for us. There is one set of washer and dryer, and they are Japanese sizes which is compact.
