About this house rental
Take a break and unwind at our peaceful desert oasis. Cozy, mid-century 2BR complete with a pool, fire pit, and fully fenced backyard. Spectacular dark skies make for extraordinary stargazing. Minutes from restaurants, shops and Anza Borrego Desert State Park. ————————————————————————Property is located on a quiet cul-de-sac about two miles north of center Borrego. Master bedroom has ensuite bath with jetted tub and a private patio. Guest bedroom has mountain views from in bed. Kitchen is fully stocked, including a teakettle, blender, cake mixer, chefs knives, coffee and basic spices.
Primary bedroom and living room smart TVs are equipped with multiple streaming platforms (need your own login) with an entertainment center in living room. Large circle drive and adjacent dirt area makes it accessible for all vehicles including large RVs/trailers. Backyard is completely fenced, making it a dog friendly confine. In the summer, take advantage of the large, unheated pool and bbq your favorites on the Weber charcoal grill. In winter, curl up by the fireplace or outdoor gas firepit while looking up at the milky way.

While the house is great and the decor is tasteful, I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the home. It is in serious need of a deep clean. Dust abounds, shower has mold in it. The exterior where the pool is was rough. I rented the house for the outdoor space as well and the cushions are dusty and unkempt, there were no cushions on the loungers and one had a broken wood slat. The pool was freezing and filthy and didn’t look cared for while the automatic pool cleaner went round and round ineffective.I hope I was the first guest for the season and this was remedied immediately when I made the owner aware, but I would recommend requesting the state of cleanliness prior to booking the place. It has great potential!

The house was great! Easy booking and communication with the host. The desk set up was helpful with an extra monitor. WiFi worked well. And the kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you!!

While we were happy with the fact that the property was in a great location, pet friendly, had a pool, and had an easy check in, we felt the pictures were a bit deceiving. The property clearly has not been maintained to the standards of the photos. The pool was a bit dirty, the front yard was overgrown, the horseshoe pit as well as the whole front yard was full of weeds and overgrown, and the outdoor furniture was very sun-beaten. We should have called customer support for a new spot.The kitchen also did not have an exhaust fan so cooking on the stove was difficult - we had to open the window to vent. Probably would not stay here again
