In the Village Of Powhatan- walking distance to owners restaurant

We had 9 people coming in from VA, SC, TN, IL, and CA for a family wedding. Choosing to stay here was the most cost effective way for us to spend time together as a group. The house felt like home almost immediately. The host also runs a restaurant and brought over a pie shortly after the first of us arrived. The only awkward part is the upstairs restroom is inside one of the bedrooms, making it a challenge to use without disturbing those in that room (we filled the house to capacity). We made it work for our limited time there. Overall, it was a nice experience.

We have used this rental before and appreciate how Tracey works with us. It’s a great location for our Michigan family to visit our Virginia family.

Gorgeous home- very comfortable with all modern technology and conveniences yet a historical/old fashioned feel. Powhatan is a lovely community- fantastic stay!

We were told it would be like staying in Grandma's house and unfortunately that was true. Just like Grandma's house much of the furniture was tired, many of the light bulbs were burned out, there weren't enough chairs for the dining room table, not enough plates, not enough silverware, no baking pans/sheets and the grill didn't work. Also, the upstairs bathroom (that services three bedrooms) is in one of the bedrooms... a little awkward to use after the people in that bedroom go to bed.
