Planning a family vacation for 13 people (kids included!) could’ve been chaotic—but this property made it feel effortless and honestly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had our own private boutique hotel, with total privacy and space to relax together. The home itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and even more stunning than the photos suggest. Every morning started on the best note—waking up to breakfast already prepared and then heading straight out for a refreshing dip in the pool. It quickly became our favorite daily ritual. Getting around was part of the fun too. We made great use of the golf cart to explore nearby restaurants and the marina, and the bikes were perfect for leisurely rides around the area. The location truly couldn’t be better—you can literally stroll across the street to the beach or take a quick 5-minute walk to great dining spots. And we absolutely loved starting our mornings with coffee runs to the adorable nearby café, Nita. What really set this place apart, though, was the service—attentive, seamless, and genuinely top-notch. We felt completely taken care of throughout our stay. The only small hiccup was the plumbing rule about disposing of toilet paper in the waste bin, which we weren’t aware of beforehand. But honestly, it was a minor adjustment compared to how incredible everything else was. All in all, this was an amazing stay, and we’d enthusiastically recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!

We had an excellent stay at Villa Surfside! There were a total of 12 of us (3 separate families) and the layout was perfect for the group - it would be good for a max of 16 or 4 families.The property was very clean throughout and the onsite staff (Massiel and Adonis) were very helpful in cleaning, doing laundry every single day, and always being sure we had fresh towels and anything we needed. Ander and Whitney were great to communicate with both before our stay and during it - answering any questions quickly.The location is very centrally located along the coast - it is a 2 minute golf ride to the town of Portrero where there are a number of restaurants/bars, 10 minutes to Playa Flamingo, and 10 minutes to Playa Brasilito. Tamarindo is about a 35 minute car ride away. And right next door to the villa is a great coffee shop called Nita Coffee and also a gym for those that work out and that is included as well.Overall we had a great experience and would highly recommend a stay here!!

The villa was wonderful. It was nice that we each had our own space but also had a place to gather as a group. We really enjoyed the daily breakfasts. They were very filling and tasty. The housekeeper did a great job cleaning each day and also washed a load of laundry for each room. The property manager helped arrange our transportation, some activities and practicing some groceries. Everything went smoothly. No issues at all.

Our stay at this gorgeous villa was absolutely perfect. Our only negative comment would be that the host/housekeeper was not very friendly. She did an excellent job of cleaning and cooking breakfast but she did not seem to enjoy her job. We had 2 family members who spoke fluent Spanish but that did not seem to make any difference in her demeanour.
