It's a lovely property and David greeted us on arrival and helped us understand the property and amenities. We had a language barrier but both sides made it work. He was kind enough to show us the local war related attractions in his guestbook and it's clear he has a passion for war memorabilia. Rooms, bathrooms and kitchen were well set up. A lack of pillows though (they were more like thin sofa cushions so we folded a towel under them) and a far too firm bed with a waterproof type sheet on it made for uncomfortable sleep each night of our 11 nights, but that's perhaps down to our arthritis and someone else might like the firmness. A few spots of mould around windows etc and lots of cobwebs and spiders, but it's a very rural location, so to be expected. I even had a HUGE spider jump on my hand whilst I sat on the tree swing. I hastily removed myself. Garden is beautiful and well looked after. Not fully secure for dogs, but we brought a screw-in tether for when our dog wanted to sunbathe which works fine. Love the window shutters and wish they were standard in the UK. Thank you David for letting us use your lovely home.

David’s property was as described and perfect for our 2 night stay. There was everything we needed. The outside space was nice to relax and enjoy. The location was great to visit all the d-day exhibits, beaches and memorials. The village is very quiet but only a ten minute drive to Saint Lo for shopping etc. We would recommend and definitely stay again if we visit the area.

David greeted us on arrival to provide us with all the necessary information about his home. He went into meticulous detail and ensured we were happy with the layout and amenities. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The outside recreational space was first class contained in a lovely garden. We were however slightly disappointed that whilst the garden was claimed to be fully enclosed, there were numerous gaps under hedges. This of course only affects those with pets who may find this a concern. I would like to suggest some small barrier fences under the hedges to prevent pets from escaping onto the nearby road. The sleeping arrangements were fine, although for my creaking body I did find the bed a little basic and pillows were not as supportive as I would like. Overall a positive experience and would be happy to return.

The house is roomly and has everything needed for a stay filled with sunshine and when the weather is not so great. The yard is really nice! The small shop nearby provided fresh bread and some additional essential utilities!

The house is situated in a quaint little village. The house was spotlessly clean and perfect for a base to visit Normandy. David, the host, was very friendly and hospitable
