Please be prepared before beginning your drive to the mountains! Four-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. Although the main roads are usually plowed well, many residential areas require traversing steep hills on dirt roads that are not as maintained. Keep in mind that chain laws for non-commercial vehicles can be put into effect at any time. We do not advise driving Berthoud Pass in a front-wheel drive vehicle unless you a comfortable putting chains on yourself. Weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. We will not accommodate refunds related to weather or road conditions, please plan accordingly.

We really enjoyed our stay at beehive bungalow! The cabin has beautiful views of the lake and a fenced in yard which was nice for small children. Inside the cabin is very inviting and cozy. Highly recommend!

The Beehive Bungalow is as cute as a button and very well-appointed. Great view of the lake and a really nice fenced yard, which our daughter's dog was delighted with. The house is great for a family of 4, and the amenities in the bungalow and friendly spirit of the owners conveyed in their helpful notes and information made the place extra cost. We saw mule deer in the yard, tons of hummingbirds and heard elk bugling at night. The fire pit is great and the living room is good for recovering from long hikes. Kids loved the furniture and decor.

The property is ok. The view is great but there were some amenities that were not available such as an ice maker and a working gas grill and an overhead light. Hot water was scarce also
