Amazing view from the 5th floor, and the condo was clean and comfortable. Everyone we interacted with was very pleasant. Short 6-8 minute walk to the beach.

Our first day there was shot because the low battery beep for the smoke detector started at 12:30am (after driving all day and getting in bed at 11:30) . No extra batteries in the condo and the nearest open store was 22 miles away. So, it wasn't resolved until after 2 am. Turns out it was the carbon monoxide detector which just needed to be unplugged AND there are no gas appliances, so why is it needed?!?!
The living room and master bedroom both had one window covering missing (floor to ceiling windows). This made hard to get any sleep when the sun came up and made the bedroom feel very open to viewing from the outside.
We did like the location and that there were beds for everyone in the family. All the other furniture was comfortable. We did like that there were beach chairs, an umbrella, and wagon available.

This was our sixth visit to the area - our second time staying in The Indies. We love this community and now it's the only beach we ever visit. The property was very nice and I would stay here again. The AC/heater was out when we arrived - severe storms and high winds had gone through the area the night before, and it appeared that the power had gone out at some point before we arrived. Vacasa was quick to respond and willing to get a tech out to look at it the next day (which we didn't need taken care of right away as the weather was perfect to where we didn't need AC or heat). They could use a few more pots and pans, but otherwise have everything you need if you're going to cook and eat your meals in the condo. Sassy Bass Market is close if you need anything and don't want to run all the way back to Gulf Shores to shop, but the supply is limited and a little more pricey. Unfortunately the pool, hot tub and top level were closed the first 3 days of our 5 day visit -- I wish that had been communicated to us prior to our arrival. Whether you visit in March or July, the beach is never crowded and truly feels like a private beach. The area is generally quiet and very family oriented.
