This is a beautiful home, and the overall experience could easily go from good to great with a few changes. The home is large, well decorated, and has a beautiful outdoor living space. The view of the canal and dock is stunning and we enjoyed the variety of birds and fish visible from the property. With that said, the owner should have stated in the listing that the garage was not available to guests - had we known this, we would not have booked this listing (this is a dealbreaker issue for my wife as there is nothing worse than having to load/unload your car outside in the Florida rain/heat. All of the other homes we've ever rented in the area gave guests garage access.We were also expecting to be able to control the pool lights/bubblers and temperature (up to the maximum allowed 86 degrees) from the unit. The guest manual notes these items are on a timer but does not specify when they go off and on so there was a bit of guesswork figuring out when the best time to use the pool was. While the owner said we could contact him to turn these items off/on, that is an unnecessary level of work for the renter. Lastly, we found several dirty dishes, including a cup with lipstick on it. The dirty dishes could've been put away by any previous guest, but allowing the last load of dishes to be put away by the maid rather than requiring guests to do this could add another layer of "quality control" in this regard.

Wow! What a place!, We loved the house and location. The house has it all, loved the high ceilings and the openness of the home, all the bedrooms are very private. The pool was perfect and lights up at night, the outdoor grill was a bonus here as well.
