Portela Suites Kastri

Probably the best holidays rental we've been in. The view is just stunning from the flat or the pool area. The flat is extremely clean and is cleaned every day. It is really comfortable place and there is everything you need inside to cook. The balcony was also very big with two tables. The pool bar also proposes a good choice of local dishes for reasonable price You can walk directly to the beach from the pool area, or take your car for short rides to stunning beaches (such as Litsis) Stavros who welcomed us, was really nice and made us feel comfortable in the area. Of course the location is a bit lost in the south coast of Crete, but it's definitely worth the journey if you want a restful time, with local people in the village. (If you want a place with sunbeds, beach bars and water activities... Well it's not really the place to go !) The only small drawbacks were that WiFi was weak in the apartment (ok on the balcony), and that some nights there are some parties in the village downstairs that can be noisy at night (but it's not the renter's fault !) We will come back with great great pleasure, it was an extraordinary time in the small village of Kritsi !

This place is so lovely, the staff, the location, the pool, the regular daily cleaning, the towel changes, the food, the sea view,the beaches and the village nearby is lovely …if you want somewhere away from the crazy crowds but still access to all Cretan tourist sights by car and plenty of local food/restaurants then come here. It’s such a great place ….I miss it already !
