Walking distance to many attractions in the city. Staff was very friendly. The shuttle to the airport was fairly expensive. (We thought it was included).

Our experience far exceeded our expectations, and my advice to anyone considering a stay in Porto is to read the reviews and be confident you've made the right choice, The Hotel Spot gets booked out quickly, so do not hesitate if you are considering making a reservation. The front desk staff were amazing. We arrived tired after a long journey, made more angst by a busy and 'mad' exit from Campahna station. Their calm and professional approach quickly put us at ease and our anxieties melted away with their helpfulness and patience. As mentioned, earlier many reviewers have posted similar comments, and a lot more eloquently than I have. We had to have a quiet smile to ourselves on checkout as we watched a guest enquiring about how expensive he had found the parking. He was clearly taking up time at the front desk, probably trying to save a few Euros. We could not help but listen in,. The reception member was in no position to get involved in a financial negotiation about the matter, but allowed the guest his opportunity to state his case. We were impressed at how the staff member conducted himself, all customers being treated with patience and respect regardless.

We stayed for one night before flying home. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The staff were very helpful. They stored our bags before check in and arranged an early breakfast for us. Breakfast was excellent.
