The slowest check-in experience- in spite of pre-booked rooms. Clean and spacious room - but do make sure to get a room on the other side of the highway - or bring earplugs. Cool place in all meanings. Beautiful garden area and well maintained garden.

Hiding Gem Hotel in Brazil , Beautiful Historical Hotel with well trained staff. Specially thanks for property manager Roberta who gave us superb hospitality experience, Each suit has own design. We feel alike staying in between amazing nature and historical castle. Also thanks for Juliana being such friendly and super nice. Upon checkin I was a bit shocked when greeted with the most inhospitable staff. Very cold, never once welcoming. Check in was at 3pm. I asked if the room is ready earlier, they kept repeating checkin is at 3pm. I’m like can you see if any rooms are available? They didn’t bother to look. So since the hotel was basically shut down for a wedding, there was no where to relax so we had lunch nearby and just sat in a car for a few hours. Upon checkin, the rooms are tiny. Less than advertised. Tv was old and not a smart tv. The property itself which could be magical really feels like a truck stop attraction. There’s no spa here either. It’s a massage table on a terrace. I asked to use the jacuzzis. They said they were reserved for the next 4 hours. I saw 2/5 being used. Change of staff and the place could be really nice. Or at least teach them the basics.

Biggest problem was noise. I booked the highest level of suite they had for 7 nights. However the room (top left of their cover photo) is very close to their main business activity which is events and parties. Just about every day was a party of one form or another. These parties go on until the early hours or all night. One graduation party started at mid-night and finished at 07:00. These are very loud and make sleep almost impossible. I understand that as a business they want to maximise revenue, however unless you are there just for one night and are attending the party, it's not a great place to stay - or at least not in the imperial suites.

The hotel was lovely but my room didn’t have any toiletries or hand towels what so ever tried to call room service but no answer and there was lots of noise from other guests partying hitting the door and walls

The castle is gorgeous but the rooms definitely reflect the age of the property. I stayed at the Suite da Torre (Tower suite) and it's one of the most interesting rooms I've ever stayed in with breathtaking views. The bathroom though has a constant sewage smell. The fist day we had left the windows ajar and door open and then in the next day the smell was nauseating. We had to keep the windows open to dissipate the smell. My sister also mentioned having the same smeel in her room. Staff was excellent and the grounds had several activities for kids and adults and also several options for dinning. The views of the grounds and surrounding are gorgeous. My niece had her wedding at the castle and it was like a fairy-tale.

Fun sleeping at a tower in the castle. Our teenage girls enjoyed it, even if it was a little cheesy at times. Great balcony views, clean and spacious.

The staff were extremely rude and the room we got was dirty the shower box was dirty. We ultimately got another room which was a bit better. The public toilets were dirty and there was no toilet paper. For the price we paid I would have expected something more appropriate. I will definitely not stay there again and would not recommend to anyone.

The hotel was very nice, the castle was beautyfull. The staff wasn´t so nice as i would expect in a hotel in Brazil... Also, it has too little to do. When we arrived, they told us hotel guests can´t use the pool or have access to the gardens because those facilities where for parties only. (they didn´t have any event the day we stayed there) They have two small jacuzzies, but they were occupied by other guests all along our stay. They don´t offer lunch or dinner, you have to drive for 15-20 minutes to get to the closest town to get some food. The breakfast was also disappointing, it was not what i´m used to in ¨high level¨ hotels in brazil. I recommend going to the hotel for no more than one day, just seeing the castle is worth it.

This hotel by far was the best of many in my 50 years of travel. For value it was the best, however after I posted pictures and the price the hotel rate changed 300%. Everything including the service, staff, continental breakfast was wonderful. My special thanks to Leanardo, one of the staff who help was beyond expectation. A great hotel/castle fit for a king.

Boa comida. Lindo hotel. Porém tivemos um contratempo de fazerem umas furacões no quarto de frente, uma barulheira absurda sem nenhuma comunicação prévia no meio do sono do meu filho a tarde que acordou assustado. Foi comunicado mas infelizmente nenhum gerente veio se retratar do ocorrido

O atendimento e estrutura do hotel são otimos porem o hotel estava muito cheio ( ferias escolares) e apenas um elevador nao era suficiente para todos os hospedes. A suite da torre tem uma vista e uma decoracao incrivel porem a cama poderia ser queen e a escada para o segundo andar onde fica a cama de solteiro, fazer menos barulho. Impossivel nao acordar quando a pessoa que esta na parte superior desce para usar o toalette.
