We loved our stay at Villa L'Auberge. Situated just down the hill from the main hotel, the Villas are spacious, newly updated and have nice outdoor patios. We got a great value for our travel dollar here. The unit fit our family of 3 comfortably for 4 nights and was a solid choice for a centrally located basecamp. We spent time at the Zoo, Torrey Pines, and also ventured up to Oceanside and Encinitas. Nothing was more than 20-30 minutes away. The front desk greeted us with sparkling wine upon check in. The pool deck is cozy; we enjoyed the fire pits with some tea and coffee while our daughter had fun in the pool & hot tub. Mornings gave a perfect opportunity to watch surfers or walk down to the park. There are several restaurants, bars, and bakeries within walking distance. Del Mar has charm to spare, that's for sure! Next time I'll likely request a second floor room. We could hear a lot of footsteps at night. We especially appreciated the newly renovated rooms. The bathroom was large and featured new tile & a new shower. Even the pull out couch was comfy. We'll be back for sure next time we are in the San Diego area. Love staying in Del Mar!

We rented a Villa for our daughter’s birthday and it was clean and very comfortable. We spent time at the relaxing pool. Great location to everything in Del Mar village. Hope to visit again.

Just to note the concierge was a bit of a dud. I had no idea where our room was, how to get to it or where to park. Usually you're given a map of the property or a least directions. Also we had many stairs and had an injured guest I should have asked about stairs before. The room was great although noisy with the train very early in the am. The rest was great and we had a nice stay.

The morning after we arrive, we called maintenance to say our spa tub jets were not working. A gentleman came quickly. He said a gif tripped and wasn't sure how to fix it. He said he would talk to his manager and call us shortly. Never got a call and for the rest of the stay we had to look at the panel off from the bath tub and never got to use the spa tub.

I loved staying at the villas. I've stayed at the hotel previously, which is amazing and the villas were perfect for an overnight staycation where we could use the hot tub and make an amazing dinner in the kitchen at the villa. Great views!

First off, this property is NOT the Hotel L’Auberge, so lower your expectations! The villa is small, but nicely equipped. Parking is very easy, as each unit has an assigned spot. Our unit had a great view, so no complaints.The mattress is terrible, and they need to replace it. No AC, so do not stay here during a heat wave. They charge $50 for resort fees, but there was no amenities.

Meh. When asked about a/c staff said ‘we don’t have a/c in California’ You have to be witty to carry off sarcasm with a customer, particularly at the high end. He wasn’t. The staff did not seem over bright. I was asked three times about a parking voucher by the same person within 15 minutes. After I told her we had no car. Build quality of the entire resort crumby, compared to a relauscet chateau quality establishment.

The villa that we stayed in had a great ocean view. Nice spacious floorplan. Only drawback was the train that ran pretty much all night (about once an hour or so) and our room phones didn’t work so anytime we needed to call the front desk we had to use our cell. But overall nice place to stay if you want beach access and still be close to all the amusement parks

Nice comfortable condo. Phone never worked. Bathtub drain didn't work so you could take a bath but the maintenance guy brought a stopper to fix it. Train noise was a bit louder than I expected and you have to leave the windows open because no air conditioning. Still waiting for a print out of my bill. Resort fees added a lot and we never even used the pool or fitness center. Pricing should be more up front.

Location is great. The villas of L’Auberge are VERY old and dated complete with a musty smell as you walk in. Thin walls and floors. Can hear your neighbors showering and beds creaking. I would not stay again. No comparison to the hotel which I’m very familiar with.

This hotel was pleasant and clean. However, it is owned by a different company from the main hotel and uses their lobby to help check people in. If you need anything or have questions, they direct you to a phone number to contact the manager who isn't on site. There was a DVD player in the room so we went to rent a DVD. Unfortunately, we found out it didn't work and it was about 11pm so there was nothing we could do to get it to work. We wasted our money renting the DVD and were really disappointed we couldn't watch it.

My reservation at above mentioned Condo was made last November 2016. Our check in date was for March 17/17. I had called 2 times to confirm my reservation the last time, as late as 10 am the morning prior to check in at 4 pm & was assured all was fine. We checked in and was told these Condos were under refurbishment and could not be used but LAuberge Hotel said quote: BUT, we have a nice room for you...I was shocked ! Having called a few hours before and nothing was said. The check in desk at LAuberge Del Mar said, did no one tell you.....It was my bday celebration and we were having some friends join us for a get together. I had everything planned car full with foodstuff etc., Finally, management was called, they said they would try to relocate us to another Condo, they called to tell us where to go and we had to use what they found for us by far, not the caliber that I chose and expected to have use of for my celebration,We had to call everyone with a change of address plus, call people from other countries to re-route if possible flowers and gifts being sent, it was a nightmare & upsetting, to say the least and very disappointing !!!!! LAuberge Del Mar certainly need to do a better job networking with their departments for a Hotel that is supposed to be one of the higher ranking hotels in Del Mar, California.In my opinion do not bother to visit there because as far as I am concerned it is not worth the visit, there are other very nice upscale hotels in the area.
