Hotel Traffic Poznan Stare Miasto

Ok, so not an expensive hotel but well worth the money. It’s clean nice amount of space and close to everything. Staff are very polite and helpful and you can help yourself to tea and coffee on the 3rd floor. I’d recommend staying away from breakfast as there really didn’t seem to have any real choice. Apart from that this is recommended

The location is great - you have walking access to the old city center and to the Central Train/Bus station. The breakfast is exceptionally good. Cons: bathroom has no shampoo, small issues with amenities.

When I booked this, I made sure the room had air conditioning. When I checked in, I was told that the room did NOT have a/c. I told the lady that when I booked the site online, it mentioned AC. The lady said that on Booking. com, if you click on the info, it says the room does not have a/c, but the hotel does have a/c. ?!?! I showed her the screenshotI had taken which showed the that the room had a/c. She looked at photo but did not say anything. She told me that there were no more rooms with a/c. This is an issue with this hotel, but their management has done nothing about this since this worker knew about a problem with a particular site (and this one too)… I asked to speak to a manager about this but was told the manager was not there (on a weekday before 5pm) LMAO There is a major construction on the street … I asked to be put on the side away from the construction, but the lady said she didn’t know which rooms faced which direction(because they had been recently been re-numbered???) I don’t like being lied to… just tell me you don’t know… although I’m sure there is a map for fire evacuation. Be aware that the room doors do NOT lock automatically. When leaving, you have to insert your key into the lock and turn the key. I only realized this when I saw a couple down the hall struggling with their door. Also, when you are inside the room, you have to turn the knob below the door handle to bolt the door. Just because you close the door, it does NOT automatically lock the door (unlike a majority of hotels). There should at least be a sign to indicate this, , but there is not. The inaccurate info (room a/c) needs to be dealt with, as well as the safety issues (doors locking) and bad employee attitude are why I am NOT recommending this hotel.
