Peaceful/Beautiful Villa at the Hills of Atenas

We were very happy with our stay and the accommodations. The layout of the house and property is wonderful with lots of spots to relax and enjoy the mountain breezes. Our kids loved the pool, foosball, and games. The adults loved the various shaded patios, hammocks, and spacious kitchen. We hiked up into the coffee plantation above the property and met some lovely local farmers while searching for monkeys (who evaded us). There was a lot of great bird watching in the area. You're off the beaten path in Atenas and other than going to town for groceries and restaurants, we needed to drive at least half an hour (usually more) for activities away from the house. The host was very helpful sharing suggestions of things to do and responsive when we had questions. We highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a spot away from the touristy areas.
