    We chose Tregenna as it was a last minute impromptu trip to St Ives and they had room. Never been before but always wanted to try it. The building is lovely, the grounds are exceptional. There was a wedding there during our stay which is a fantastic and memorable place to marry. It is spotless inside. The room was plain but quite big. We paid extra for sea view which was gorgeous. We had a fridge but I think that is because I asked if they had one and offered to put one in, not sure that you get one normally. Simple bathroom, shower over bath, spotlessly clean. The only concern was the floor boards were very squeaky and so was the bed. It ideal for being quiet! Breakfast was average, all you can eat buffet. We went into the restaurant for an evening meal but left as we waited over 20mins to be asked what we would like to drink and it wasn’t very busy so not impressed with that. That meant a 15 minute trek into St Ives every evening to eat. The walk there is ok but a steep incline makes it a hard slog back up the hill. We did cheat and get a taxi a couple of times costing £7.50. They have excellent facilities with indoor outdoor pools and multiple sports but we never used them. Not sure I would return but that is because I’d prefer to be closer to town. You need to be fit to keep walking in and out of town, unless you’re prepared to pay for a taxi. Having said that you have everything you need within the resort.

    I arrived and was taken back by the building. Absolutely beautiful. The grounds are magnificent. Staff was very friendly and polite They even allowed me to park there while I spent another day at a hotel close by . I couldn't thank them enough. My room was stunning, the best was very comfortable. And I have to say I slept like a baby . Breakfast was lovely. Great choice . I would 100 per cent recommend this place to stay Shirlsphotography

    Moved room twice due to no light, then toilet not flushing. Staff very nice & helpful Radiator didn't work, bathroom heater didn't work , cheap caravan shower with black marks. No case stand, no fridge Restaurant meal very good
