    Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are a bit dated but has everything you need including tea and coffee making facilities and toiletries. Great food menu and reasonably priced. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. Great position for Aintree or Liverpool city centre. Would definitely stay here again.

    Stayed here for the football so was thankfully not in the room much, but the room was very unclean lots of cob webs etc and the mattress was absolutely a rock hard. But the worst was that someone had been sick in the lift which hadn’t been cleaned up so was still there first thing in the morning. The staff on arrival where quite nice as I said I had to leave before breakfast but had breakfast in the stay, so they said they would try and get someone to sort something for me to grab before I left, but then when checking out the night staff member was uninterested and said that all I could have was some croissants which in his words “had been left on the side for quite a few days” he was also very unapologetic about the situation. There was a premier inn pretty much next door and I would highly recommend staying there instead, defensively not worth my £104
