Overall the room was fine. They like the kitchenette (vs the hotels they used). Having a balcony is good.
Having a variety of restaurants/takeaways within throwing distance is good. Public transport nearby and the venues of Fortitude Valley in walking distance.
Reviews they read say the noise is annoying. They won't disagree. Knowing this, they used disposal ear plugs for sleep and no problem.
The customer struggled to find a secure labelled container/chute for hotel access cards (returning guest provided advice). Having clear info in the hotel booklet in the occupant's room would correct that and signage at the hotel lobby.

Room was generally clean but hot plate didn’t work and crockery was not clean from previous use. Well featured room and good location.
