Rooms clean, very friendly staff! Need a little upgrade/refurb decor wise. Sounds petty but I would rather have known how far the room was from reception prior to arriving, was a right trek and we had a fair bit of luggage too! Would have requested something closer. The photos look like it’s a small hotel but it’s not.. also take your own toilet roll the ones provided are terrible! Otherwise lovely stay! Thankyou!

Upon initially arriving and getting to our room, we were immediately frustrated to find that there was only one bed to share between three people. It wasn’t even a proper double bed — it was two single beds pushed together, which was uncomfortable and unacceptable for the booking. Later, we went to get a drink using some spare change we had, only to be told that the hotel is card-only throughout, including the bar. We were unable to use our cash despite it being legal tender, which was not made clear beforehand. The hotel was also extremely loud throughout the night. Noise from neighbouring rooms, both above and next to us, resulted in a very poor night’s sleep. I raised this with the manager, Sebastian, who was not particularly willing to offer any assistance or solution. The following morning, breakfast was another disappointment. Luke, the restaurant manager, did try his best, but the overall service was very poor. There was no hot food available, and many guests were complaining. Everyone was simply told that “the chef was trying his best”, which didn’t help the situation. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations due to poor room setup, noise issues, lack of flexibility, and disappointing service. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again nor recommend it to others.

We stayed with our grown up children for a night to catch up and relax together. The hotel is lovely and spacious and even though they had a Christmas party going on we didn't feel that we had been pushed out. We ate in the bar in the evening and the food was good. There was a minor hiccup with the order but resolved with no fuss.We used the spa facilities which were all clean and working. We had to wait to use the sauna steam and jacuzzi, it was quite busy and there was no restriction on the amount time you can spend in each so some stayed in the sauna for quite a while meaning many were waiting to use it. We still enjoyed our time there nevertheless.

I always say that when I am going for a short visit to meet family & friends over Christmas, I only need a hotel to provide me with a nice clean, comfortable room, a good sleep, a hot shower & a good breakfast to set me up for the day. Eastwood Hall provided all of these in abundance! Everything from parking up to finding reception, signing in and getting about was spot on. The staff were all friendly, helpful and polite & what else can I say! It went beyond what I expect for my stay so thankyou Eastwood Hall 🙏 Definitely worth the 4⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fantastic room. Very clean and comfortable. Great facilities. I have no idea why I haven’t used this facility before, the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Particularly liked the way the bar staff made everyone feel welcome and asked them where they came from and what they had been doing in the day. Very personable and made the hotel seem very friendly. Unfortunately, due to sheer bad luck, we were located a room next to a group that were screaming, shouting, arguing etc well past midnight. The whole group must’ve used room 165 as a base. This resulted in me going to reception at 23.25 to ask what time guests should be a reasonable time to tone it down. The bar and games room were open so ideally they could have partied there. I had to call reception again at midnight as this was still carrying on but the staff did come and sort this out and handled it well. Apart from this, this is a fabulous hotel and i wholeheartedly recommend it.

We’ve stayed here a few times with our dog visiting family. Staff were attentive and the service is always great. Gave the gym and swimming a miss this time but previously used and it’s an added bonus. As well as breakfast we had a bar meal which was excellent. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay - from the staff on reception to the leisure club. We used the pool and the games room which kept the kids entertained! Our room was big and spacious, each child had their own single bed, along with the large super king bed! The room was clean and modern with everything we needed, including a few welcome snacks! We thought the bar and restaurant area were lovely, and enjoyed a cooked breakfast where there was plenty to choose from! Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

A lovely place, if a little worn in places. Kids had a great time using the well equipped facilities. Had a lovely experience in the restaurant, both at dinner and breakfast. Vegan options aplenty! Would’ve been better if hot drinks were available in the room for the evening/morning. Bathroom floor tiles were also a little grubby.

This was a very nice hotel to stay in and very good for dog-owners. They had left us a couple of bowls, a jar of treats and a blanket which was all very nice. The grounds are nice, we saw rabbits and deer. Parking was very easy with plenty of spaces. Room was comfortable and nicely furnished, however the seating in the bar area was not particularly comfortable for someone with a bad back. The only issue we had was with the bar-staff. While they were pleasant enough, when they brought our food out they didn;t ask if we wanted anything with it (ie condiments, sauces and so on). We went up to the bar to ask, had to wait a while before anyone came over to serve and then once we asked for some sauces we were then forgotten! This despite the fact that they were just stood around chattign amongst themselves for 10+ minutes. Eventually, the chap we had asked walked past and said "I've forgotten your sauce, my bad" and walked off! Not the end of the world of course, but not great. When coupled with the fact that the prices of drinks were ridiculously expensive I would certainly recommend going for a walk into the town and trying one of the local pubs rather than drinking/eating there. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would happily stay there again if in the area

The rooms are not sound proofed enough as my final night there people were talking in normal voice but they continued on until after three a.m. Worst porridge I have ever tasted but apart from that everything fine. Oooh other than one can't pay for the meal in cash in the restaraunt. THAT needs rectifying.

Our first impressions were positive—an impressive old hall nestled in the peaceful English countryside near Eastwood. The setting is charming and tranquil. We chose the prepaid buffet breakfast option for our four-night stay, which we later regretted. I follow a gluten-free diet, so a traditional cooked English breakfast is usually a safe and satisfying choice. Unfortunately, regardless of what time we arrived, the food was consistently overcooked and greasy. The fried eggs were particularly unpleasant—hard, wrinkled, and swimming in oil. We raised the issue with management, but there was no improvement the following day. As a result, we didn’t bother reporting other concerns, as it seemed pointless to spend more time waiting in reception to speak with someone. That said, the property isn’t without its merits. The gym is well-equipped, and the pool is suitable for lane swimming. However, the entire place feels vast and stuck in a bygone era. In hindsight, four nights felt far too long.

Rooms are nice, the only thing i can criticise is the difference in price of standard and superior, in superior you get a dressing gown and a few complimentary drinks and snacks,in standard you don't,but the price difference for my stay was around £70 more for superior than standard. I thought the price was a bit extreme just for a few cheap extras

This hotel has the possibility to be excellent. The facilities are great. Unfortunately the food is poor, (I am still waiting for the vegetarian sausages I requested at breakfast!) and my main course at dinner never arrived either. Meals with breakfast charged at £16.95 and dinner at £39.00 are overpriced and underwhelming. The service is stretched too. I was there for a business event and had no choice but to stay at this hotel.

Stayed for an event that was happening at the hotel. Room was really clean with a comfy bed. Internet was easy to access on multiple devices and room service options were great but would have been even better if drink options were also made clear.

We payed extra for a superior double room and was extremely disappointed when we looked at our friends in room which she was in a normal double room which cost her quite a bit less and it was the same except for a couple of dressing gowns and some tiny cans of soft drinks,we certainly won’t be booking a superior room next time as it’s not worth the money.
