I booked a two-bedroom suite at Beachcomber Inn & Suites from June 27 to July 1. When we arrived on June 27 at around 7:00 PM, we were assigned a suite on the third floor with no elevator, which was very difficult since we were traveling with children and luggage. When we entered the room, we were shocked by its condition. It was very dirty, extremely hot, and had an overwhelming smell of chlorine. The smell was so strong that my children started coughing and sneezing almost immediately, and we could not stay in the room. We went to the front desk right away to report the problem. They moved us to another room in your neighboring property, ***. Unfortunately, the replacement room was even worse. Instead of the two-bedroom suite that I had paid for, we were given a room with only one bedroom, and we were told that was the only room available. After driving for 10 hours, we had no choice but to accept the room for one night because we were exhausted. However, the conditions were completely unacceptable, and the next morning we checked out immediately because it was impossible for us to continue our stay. The room we received was not what I booked, the cleanliness was far below acceptable standards, and the strong chlorine smell made the room unsafe and uncomfortable for my family. I respectfully request a full refund for the unused nights, and I also ask you to review the handling of this situation, as it caused significant inconvenience and completely ruined the beginning of our vacation. This Resort/Inn is such a unique experience. We have vacationed/ lived in the area for decades. We have stayed at many hotels along the way but this Resort is very impressive. We stayed here both Christmas Eve and then returned the night following Christmas to spend another night doing what our kids say “living our best lives”. Both stays we had the pleasure of interacting with Scott, who by the way is phenomenal at his job. His heart is in the right place. The view is unbeatable. So many amazing options for dinner within walking distance. Activities along the waterway, beach shuttle, a full bar, coffee bar, and all types of surprises along the way. (we learned all this info from LP) We truly love showing everyone we know this Resort. May have even started a family tradition of staying there every year.

We stayed one night in a studio with 2 queens. The room was spotless. We had our choice of several restaurants close by. Both Ruths Chris and the Marina restaurant were in walking distance. We were staying one night on our own and the following night with friends in a 3 bedroom. They let us check out of the first room and into the next room at noon! We had a couple of occasions to interact with staff and they were all very helpful and professional.
