Hotel & Residence Vacances Bleues Orhoitza

I’d seen lots of negative reviews for this place so was apprehensive before we arrived. I needn’t have worried: the hotel, the rooms, the staff, the location and the breakfast were all excellent. The location is just a stones throw from the beach, the rooms are impeccably clean and the staff super friendly. The breakfast was fantastic; lots of choice and well stocked. Lovely restaurant where you can sit outside. We’re already planning our trip back next year. There is an underground parking lot for €14 a day. This is reasonable considering the street parking has an hourly rate and is much more. Thanks for a fantastic stay. We’ll be back!

I’ve seen lots of bad reviews for this hotel and felt compelled to write one to say that we loved this place! Excellent value for money, excellent location (a stones throw from the beach) and excellent breakfast. The staff are super friendly. The rooms were impeccably clean. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night. The parking is an underground lot which is €14 per day. We found this reasonable considering the street side parking was paid by the hour. Already planning to come back here next year!

This was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. The room I booked clearly showed two beds, but when I arrived, there was only one—and I was told it couldn’t be changed. The staff blamed Agoda for the mistake, which left me feeling frustrated and unsupported. On top of that, the carpets were badly discolored and gave the room a dirty, worn-out feel. The listing also mentioned free parking, but that turned out to be false—I had to pay for it. Overall, the hotel was overpriced for what was offered, and I left very unhappy.
