Hotel staff and their manager needs to be more guest centric and approachable for guest needs. I had requested their shuttle to pick me up from Interlaken OST station but they didn’t respond initially for a few days and on the last day prior to my arrival, they responded they will arrange pick up but never confirmed my arrival time or any other details. Upon arrival, person who checked me in, said they check guest msgs every shift (which was not the case), dishonest response ruined our experience from the beginning. We had to walk with our luggage bags from train station to hotel and upon arrival their were not even apologetic about mess up. Front desk guy and their manager with bad attitude, I would not stay here again as I would spend this much money somewhere else. Their breakfast in the morning was best part, omelette was extra charge, $10 Swiss franks.

The actually hotel was not what I expected. The room I was given had two twin beds put together and you would sink in if you rolled to the middle and it was very hard. The room itself was dingy and did not feel upscale as I thought it would based on the pictures. I love the idea of the historic element but it definitely needs to be spruced up. I paid almost $1000 usd a night including breakfast and was very underwhelmed. This was a birthday trip so my partner ended up booking us a hotel down the street to improve my birthday experience at Victoria Jungfrau-which was amazing. I would say if your staying here stay here for the convenience of the locality to train station, shops, restaurants and book the cheapest room not expecting luxury. I will also say despite the appearance of the hotel the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would personally not book here again as I appreciate beautiful, clean appearing aesthetics when I am on vacation .

The hotel building is great and it looks very nice. The rooms inside are also very nice. Clean and elegant. The furniture is old-style and very good. The service of the main hotel staff was good but the dining area staff service was terrible on the first day (except one younge server). First day, it felt like we came to the dining area of a no-star small hotel for breakfast. Long line up on the coffee machine, no refill in scrambled eggs for almost 20 minutes plus. even reminded a couple of staff members but they said they informed kitchen . nothing more they can do which understandable but even the manager was not helpful. not much good options of food in anyway especially for people of dietry restrictions . we went their for 25th wedding anniversary stay and paid high price but seems like i should have picked a different hotel. will never stay in this again or recommend anyone.

Pros: located on Main Street of Interlaken, easy to walk everywhere. Spacious, modern rooms with AC that actually makes the rooms cool. Bright lights in the rest room. There is also a small terrace and partial view of mountains from the room. Cons: Understaffed for two days - room wasn’t cleaned until 4-5 PM, only one person at the front desk, staff was super busy during breakfast. The day when we are about to leave, there is a new team of staff that is much more efficient and responsive. Breakfast selection is very limited compared to other hotels of similar grade. Tiny elevator due to the building being old. Overall, the service could be better for the price of this hotel.

People and food were great. A/C in room was great. 100 year old facility is beautiful in perfect location. some high quality floor stand fans around common areas would be an efficacious way to lessen Discomfort of high heat days.

Our stay at this hotel was amazing! The staff is incredible. We would love to give a shout out to Jad, Paula, Seif, and Abeb for their exceptional service! Thank you!! The only thing to complain about is our floors in our hotel room weren’t very clean. There looked to be coffee stains all over. But besides that-everything was great!

We loved our Baroque style room with balcony. Wallpapers, old fashion crown molding and chandeliers gave this room a 19th century feel.

The hotel is old and the floors creep so can hear people walking in the room directly above ours. Hence people walking in the room above woke us up. Fixtures etc were very old The breakfast was super great.

We chose a 5 star hotel’s modern suite paying $1100 per night expecting a luxurious stay coming from Paris & London where we paid $600/night and had apartments. Here we got a room with two twin beds attached and one sofa bed that underneath had a broken leather making noise at night waking me up. As we entered the room we saw faded blood stains on the ground with a very low ceiling room. Next to elevator no view. It might be that Switzerland is overall pricey but for a 5 star hotel this can’t be happening. The positive side was breakfast was amazing and there was a staff helping us switch rooms and he was very polite and nice unlike unhelpful front desk staff. If you can get this hotel for $400 or max $600 per night then it’s good for the location otherwise for higher price avoid it!

The front desk customer service was really bad. The people at the front desk when we were leaving were unhelpful and completely rude and wouldn’t even give us water- we paid A LOT for three rooms and they can’t find a bottle of water? Also another person at the front desk check in didn’t mention when we checked in that we could get discounted tickets for transportation around interlaken. That would have saved us a lot! The suite had a nice view but poorly preserved floors. The family apartments were nice but really far and no elevator. I was very disappointed for the amount of money we paid. We are also Accor silver but because we booked through Expedia they wouldn’t honor any of the perks.

The only good thing about this hotel was the location. It was near the train station and was overall centric. However, our room was in front of a parking lot in a building completely separate from the main one shown in the pictures. The rooms were not clean, the AC didn’t work, and the people working the front desk were rather rude as well. We were in 5 other hotels during this trip and the other 4 were great, but our experience in this hotel was just horrible.

The property is in a good location. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Especially Shams in the front desk was very friendly and helped with all the things we ask for; thanks again. The property provided us bus tickets for transportation and also shuttle for the train station. The breakfast was good but I highly suggest them to expand their cheese options. The room was good with a nice view and balcony. They prepared some welcome chocolates and fruits for us. Unfortunately, the minibar is not refreshed very day. Overall I highly recommend the property :)

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, thanks to its convenient location within walking distance of restaurants, stores, and activities. We opted for the modern room, which was spacious with a great view, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent, too. However, the mattress in our room was outdated and uncomfortable. Overall, the combination of location and price made for a pleasant experience.

I loved staying at this beautiful, historic hotel! We felt so welcome and safe here, and the bedroom and bathroom were very nice, comfortable, clean, spacious and peaceful, and have great views, at least on the upper floors. We stayed on the 5th floor, and had a wonderful view of the church and mountains. :) The restaurant is amazing! The food was top quality, and the service was superb. The huge breakfast buffet is included, and comes with cappuccinos, etc. You just have to ask. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel! :)

The pictures posted are different from the hotel real condition, the junior suits are located in a different building and looks very depressing, the hotel is completely outdated , the staff was friendly and helpful when I requested an upgrade.

Lovely hotel, but not 5 stars hotel, I don't understand why Expedia keeps listing these hotels as 5-star hotels, it's a 4-star hotel, period. it's not on the upscale end at all, I've stayed at 5-star hotels, and this one isn't one of them. every time I book a "5-star hotel" through Expedia it ends up being a 4-star hotel. Aside from that, the hotel is centrally located, within walking distance to the train station, (if it's not raining, you can walk) but if it is raining you can ask the hotel to pick you up, it's a two min drive. The staff was very friendly, professional, attentive, and very helpful! The hotel grounds are very old, it could use a light remodel, by now. We also had the absolute WORSE shower experience in my 15 years of traveling the world, I can't believe they have this type of shower with the worse water pressure I have ever experienced, the shower had a very old handheld shower as a showerhead! The hotel price was very expensive for a 4-star hotel pretending to be 5 stars. I didn't get a luxury feel at all, especially with that terrible shower. The hotel website did a fabulous job of conveying that luxury feel, however when you stay there, it's not like that at all. You can tell it was really lovely in its heyday and it's seen better days but not anymore. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much, it was very clean, and I still recommend it for its proximity to everything in Interlaken and the lovely staff but don't expect a fancy hotel because it's not.

We spent 3 nights at the Royal St Georges in Interlaken and had a great stay. The room was spacious and bright with an updated bathroom. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and attentive. The location, close to Interlaken Ost, made it convenient to get to all of our activities.
