The Old Bridge Inn, Holmfirth, West Yorkshire

Lovely pub hotel in the centre of Holmfirth, stayed here a few times every stay being excellent, nice breakfast as well

Well located in the centre of Holmfirth. Bedrooms have been nicely refurbished and spotless. Staff are really helpful, friendly and efficient. I would stay again.

The breakfast food was spot on Fresh tomatoes ,fresh mushrooms, Eggs cooked just as i asked soft yoke, a perfect selection of sundries, The evening meal, was excellent, with a very varied menu to suit all tastes, The Irish coffee i asked for was very bitter, so much so i actually could not taste the whiskey. Another major downside was the tedious matter of having to que up at the bar to order food, , Table service ordering has been stopped, I found this bizarre for a hotel to adopt this procedure, you would expect this at a travelodge NOT a hotel, they are really letting themselves down with this,, The beds are super comfortable, and pillows are also good, Clean & comfortable with lovely staff, I really hope they address the food ordering issue out so normal service can be resumed, apart from that i would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights on a bed and breakfast basis, great location, a little noisy late at night as sits next to a theatre and numerous bars however the bedrooms have double glazed windows and and most placed close around midnight. The staff are very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was fantastic. Our double room was a bit on the small side but had all the facilities needed for a short stay. Would definitely stay again
