The only thing was kidsclub wasnt open that long each day-which would be great to be out of the sun during the hot day.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 15 years. We have always enjoyed our stay. There are several amazing staff members - yet over the years, we have seen that the overall experience is inconsistent and dependent upon who you are interacting with. The Studio Suite which costs more than a standard room was not equipped as pictured. We needed to request a dresser to store our clothing. There was a coffee maker but no coffee provided. And hot water for the shower was scarce. Checking in was not positive- but the bellboys were amazing and probably some of the most accommodating and helpful people at the resort. Food didn’t provide many choices, I am gluten free and the chefs were very accommodating and prepared special meals for me. The young woman hostess was amazing - I use a wheelchair and she assisted with genuine pleasure. The restaurant people worth mentioning was Captain Julio Cesar and Manager Ulises and the server Victor. Our maid was also amazing.
Canto del Sol will always be one of our favorite places for many reasons - but there has definitely been a decline over the years.
