Was very pleased with the hotel , the location was great close to shopping amenities. Room was clean easy , access to beach. Short ride to town or can be walked too.

Nice amenities: gym, pools and a beach. The Italian restaurant was pretty good - thought that the included lunch would be kind of so so. I would recommend doing the catch of the day. The resort is a bit old and there is some water leaking in the bathroom. Important thing not to miss: DO NOT fall into the "free breakfast" trap which would eat up your whole morning, and we didn't.

Our check-in took a while, and the rooms weren't ready for another 30 minutes. The place is secure, especially with taxis, which was impressive and reasonably priced. The location is central to nearby sites and attractions in Puerto Vallarta. Their breakfast buffet was delicious and worth it, with a huge selection to choose from. However, after four nights, the breakfast did become repetitive. Unfortunately, there were some significant drawbacks. Mosquitos in the room bit me everywhere at night. The half shower door was inconvenient, causing water to go everywhere. Upon arrival, we unloaded our luggage and went out for groceries and drinks, only to return to water all over the front entryway and bathroom, likely from a leaking air conditioner condenser. Dinner at their onsite Italian restaurant, Tattoria, was also disappointing. It was storming, and our table was the only one situated under a leaking roof. Despite asking for a manager, the waiter did not call one out, and there was no compensation for this situation. At the onsite Japanese sushi restaurant, we ordered a sushi roll that sat on a tray in the open air for 15 minutes while they grilled a meat/chicken kabob that took a while and was very salty. The staff seemed more focused on having fun than on their job. This was my first visit to Puerto Vallarta, so I have no other experiences to compare it to. One more thing: they give everyone wristbands to show where they're staying, which is helpful but makes you look like a tourist outside. I hope my review provides you with an idea of the service and experience you may have at Villa Del Palmar.
