Conscientious location

Room clean. Staff courteous. First room they put in reeked of cigar smoke, but they were willing to give me another room. Very little amenities. No free breakfast. Not in a good location for walk to stores or eating establishments. Price reasonable for a high priced area.

Booking felt like a bit of a wildcard based on some reviews, but I very much enjoyed my stay. The place is very cute and vibey. The room and lobby were clean and the bedding was comfortable. The water was very hot, thank goodness. Staff was friendly and everything I needed was convenient. I will definitely stay again when I’m in the area.

Parking spaces are limited, and it can be a tight squeeze for larger vehicles. Arrive early and get a good spot in the underground, sheltered lot. The room was comfortable and room temperature was good.

Quite honestly the hotel was trash. As soon as we walked in and the floor was not even and flat we should have walked out. The floor was gross and dirty the was a chair to sit in and it looked like it was about 100 years old. Tore/dirty and lopsided. Bath tub was gross and dirty. Towels where iffy if they were cleaned or not. If I could have found another hotel that late I would have left and wouldn’t care to lose the money. Idk where the 4 star review came from. I assume the roaches left the review. At 9:30 housekeeping was knocking on our door when I walked up she was already trying to open the door. I said uhm can k help you she said oh sorry I will come back! Wow! Oh and if you think the chain lock is going to keep anyone out lmao think again. I forgot to unhinge when we were leaving and my husband pull it out of the door frame. So much for safety. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra 100 and stay some decent.

This hotel is exactly what I need for quick stays between my pet sitting gigs. Great staff, clean room and surprisingly quiet for being at a very busy intersection.

All of the small touches most hotels fail to provide nowadays are there.

The hotel was very convenient with the location and all the accommodations with the room.

The smoke detector alarm went off at night around 8 pm and it went off multiple times more until around 9:30 pm. I had to call the front desk multiple times to check what was up, whether it was a real fire or if it's a malfunction in the detector. We didn't get clear answer until 9:30 pm, only when I demanded it. My daughter and I couldn't go to bed at a proper time. Also, the hot water was very sporadic. When I took shower, the water was lukewarm even when I turned it to the hottest. This hotel doesn't have the basics right. I think it's in business only because of their location, not because of their service or facilities. I know it was a cheap hotel to begin with, but they can do so much better than this. I will NEVER come back to this hotel.

Busy area

Interior environment clean and comfortable. Room comfortable, bed excellent, bathroom excellent, parking are well lit and secure. Area around hotel is borderline with lots of fast food but no good restaurants in easy walking distance.

Amazing!

I was a bit unsure when I arrived in area of the hotel. Lots of run down buildings and old store fronts. I guess u could call it a "sketchy" area at first impressions. However, it turned out to a "Diamond in the Rough". Spacious lobby, very spacious room and hallways. Very accomodating staff and probably the quietest room I have ever occupied and I have stayed in some very nice places. I definitely will book the Carlyle again if the need arises again.

Friendly staff, but shower water never stayed warm. One day my was room was not attended to while I was out. Parking tight. Lights went out in bathroom each day while I was in the shower and did not respond to motion sensor.
