I think this was once a really nice hotel. Past tense. The positives were: easy check in, and elevator, the room was clean enough, the bed was reasonably comfy. The bathroom wasn't clean around the edges, but clean enough and the shower was good.
The negatives: I was put in a room next to one that had some sort of industrial fan or machine running all night. I should have asked for a different room, but was so tired I didn't. And I fell right to sleep and slept until 2:30 when drunks down the hall were yelling and banging. After that it was so LOUD I couldn't get back to sleep. I heard the fan or whatever it was turn off at 5am. Maybe it was on a timer?
A colleague was staying down the hall from me and the drunks were across from her, and actually tried to open her door and were banging on it. Before that they'd been in the pool making a huge ruckus.
She called the front desk asking for help or some sort of security and they did absolutely nothing. The pool was supposed to close around 10pm but they didn't kick the drunks out. Oh, and we saw there had glass beer bottles in the pool. We'd actually brought our swimsuits, but certainly didn't feel like joining the 'party'.
Next morning we went to see what was for breakfast. It was a pretty nice area with little tables and all. The food was presented well. But all they had was oatmeal, some toast and some fruit. No eggs or bacon. Just oatmeal.
We were hungry, so went to find a real breakfast. Honestly, we had such a bad night we wanted to get the hell out of there.
