I was visiting my best friend in Hoi An and needed somewhere to sleep just for a few nights while her guest room was occupied by another friend. The location of this homestay was therefore excellent for me - not even a 1-minute walk to my friend's house up the road, passing by an amazing little coffee shop on the way. The homestay and surrounding area was quiet and peaceful, not much street noise or traffic can be heard in the room. Hiep (and her cute children) was so friendly and helpful! Hiep's husband collected me from the airport, the drive was smooth and comfortable. Since I was seeing my friend every morning I didn't have breakfast at the homestay, but she checked with me every evening to see if I would want breakfast the next day. The room had a fan and aircon - so welcome on the hot and humid days. Everything was clean, tidy and there was plenty of space in the room and bathroom for all my belongings and to move around freely.

While the main window has double blinds, the room did have lots of other glass panels and windows without blinds or curtains - the room door, glass panel above the door, the bathroom door, extra windows in the bathroom. This is not necessarily a big negative, it's just my personal preference to have a VERY dark room for sleeping :-) This was easily fixed with my eye sleep mask, so not such a big deal after all!

The room was perfect, with air conditioning and ceiling fans, keeping it cool. Location very close to local restaurants and a short walk over the bridge to the local market. We had a ride in a basket boat from a nearby cafe, and saw a kingfisher. Hiph and Banh very welcoming and arranged taxis for us.

My only disappointment was breakfast, I would have liked to be given a choice.
