That it was self-catering

On arrival, although we were late, we had to wait till after 6pm to get situated by our host. We tried to open windows in the living room and struggled to do so as we couldn’t draw the curtains. The TV in the living room didn’t work, the stove fan and in the kitchen wasn’t working (and apparently it’s been that way for a while as we were informed by a neighbour), this resulted in fire alarms going off in building because while we were cooking. There were no cleaning supplies in the apartment such as a mop, as well as detergents. In one of the bedrooms the we were informed by the host that the curtain was broken and as a result we had no privacy in that particular bedroom as people could see in and us out. When we made management aware of these complaints we were told someone would be available to come assist on the following day, nobody came, my parents had stayed in that day and told us nobody had arrived to inspect anything. We had opened the fridge to put drinks in and found that one of the draws was broken. The amount of things we found wrong with the place was quiet shocking given that we were charged R1000 for damages or anything that WE broke but we found so much wrong with the place that I did not think it fair to even charge us.
