Village Velo Grablje is located ten kilometers away, the old and the new road,from the town of Hvar which administratively belongs. The village was established in the 15th century, and on its territory has preserved archeological, cultural and historical monuments from prehistoric to modern times. The church of St. Vid is beautifully preserved example of early Croatian architecture 9th-12th century, and the parish church of St. Cosmas and Damian in today's form was built 1886 at the site of the former 16th-century. With beautiful wall paintings from 1913.-1914.g. one of the most beautiful village churches in the diocese of Hvar. St Cosmas and Damian are the protectors of places whose feast September 26 is a great ceremony.
Agricultural cooperative, founded in 1892 as "Rosemary Cooperative" was the first on the island, with an interesting tradition in the production of essential oils of lavender and rosemary, and a good olive oil and rosemary, lavender, heather or sage honey.
