We saw hummingbirds and so many other wonderful birds, beautiful butterflies and even a snake on the grounds. The peace and quiet, the delicious meals, excellent coffee and cheese from the region. The impressive view, then at night the stunning starry sky and the fireflies in the forest. The exciting gravel road to the lodge, for which it was finally worth hiring a 4x4. The honesty bar, the fresh air and, last but not least, Gilberth's exceptional hospitality! Ideal accommodation for a stopover between the Caribbean and the Pacific to get some rest, fresh air and a few tolerably cool nights against an impressive backdrop. We had several great dinners and a wonderful jacuzzi night. The cabins are simple but delightful and fit right in. The beds are extremely comfortable and the breakfast options are all delicious. Unbeatable value for money!!! Our rafting tour on the Rio Pacuare booked through Gilberth was professionally run and a fantastic experience. We will definitely be back here! Die Ruhe, die grandios leckeren Mahlzeiten, sehr hervorragender Kaffee und Käse aus der Region. Die beeindruckende Aussicht, nachts dann der umwerfende Sternenhimmel und die Glühwürmchen im Wald. Die aufregende Schotterpiste zur Lodge für die es sich endlich gelohnt hatte einen 4x4 zu mieten. Die honesty-bar, die gute Luft und nicht zuletzt Gilberth's ausserordentliche Gastfreundschaft! Ideale Unterkunft für einen Stop zwischen Karibik und Pazifik um vor beeindruckender Kulisse Ruhe, Luft und ein paar erträglich kühle Nächte zu tanken. Wir hatten mehrere tolle Abendessen und eine wundervolle Jacuzzi-Night. Die Hütten sind einfach aber entzückend und passen genau dort hin. Die Betten sind überaus bequem und die Frühstücksoptionen allesamt lecker. Preis-Leistung unschlagbar!!

Gilberto is a great host. We had a delicious evening meal and breakfast was fresh and yummy, homemade porridge oats with fruit. There is an honesty bar too. The bird wildlife around the property is stunning and you feel cocooned in nature. It’s very much off the beaten track and if there have been heavy rains it can be tricky. You’ll need a car with high clearance or 4WD but worth it for the ultimate tropical rainforest adventure.

Be aware there is no wifi/internet here and you’ll need to pay in cash.

This is a great place in the middle of the picturesque nature, where you can chill and relax, not being disturbed by any external noise. the host of the place Gilbert is a really kind and pleasant person that can share a lot of interesting information about local places.

Gilbert was very helpful and cooked a great eve meal . A lovely swimming pool which is emptied and cleaned very regularly

nothing . you need a god car to get there , east in a 4x4
