Hotel Serendipity

The best hotel in Tortuguero by far if you want an amazing comfortable experience and contact with locals. Cooper and the team are amazing. We stayed with full board and each meal was delicious. Copper also booked the tours for us (boat, tortuguero cerro and turtle nesting). Tortuguero is one of the most beautiful places in the world!

Amazing place in the jungle with very nice people. Everything was great, good breakfast and very nice and clean room. We booked boat and hking tours at the hotel and had a very good guide.

Beware when paying or booking a tour that they don't switch from dollars to colones at an old rate of 500. The rate is much lower now. Always pay in dollars if they try to do this. It would have cost us an extra $150 if we had let them do this.

The hotel is located in a picturesque town with a unique atmosphere, right in the heart of the national park and surrounded by Costa Rica’s beautiful natural scenery. Our room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The hotel offers assistance in transporting luggage from the boat to the hotel, as well as the option to book tours on-site. Communication with the hotel prior to arrival was also flawless, and we were always able to get the information we needed.

This does not apply to the hotel itself, but the beach by the sea is not suitable for sunbathing due to the large amount of seaweed and rip currents, which make swimming impossible.
