Very cosy and welcoming and host lovely,kind and friendly.
An intelligent man with lots of local and worldly knowledge.

I true Pilgrims rest, Stephen was a pleasure to visit and his hospitality was warm, friendly and traveller focused. I would encourage calling in future to secure the quiet room or any other requests I may have.
It was all generally very good, I do wish I had more time to spend in both the accommodation, the town and the local region that I had allocated, a return visit is required .

James John Hamilton House was exactly the sort of place we enjoy staying in when travelling. Full of character, history and quirky details, it felt more like staying in someone’s much-loved home than a holiday rental. The converted house has impressive beams and a wonderful sense of space, while still feeling cosy and comfortable.
