Vandu's View Guest house & Restaurant

Loved the loft window in my room, absolutely beautiful view to wake up to! Bathroom was really clean, although the water was difficult to get to the right temperature on the shower. Beautiful food, lovely staff, laundry service was quick and smelled wonderful, (cute puppies and cat)

My only complaint is that once my neighbours were awake and outside, it was very loud of a morning, but I couldn't hear anyone inside their own rooms.

Amazing location on the lakefront with ferry able to drop us off directly outside the property, comfortable bed, fan in room was more than enough to keep room cool, staff were really helpful and knowledgeable and accommodated us to extend our stay, book us activities and provided us with information for onward journeys. Also, very lovely dogs!

The balcony had an amazing view and big spacious room. Comfortable big bed and large bathroom.

Lovely to have a kettle but everything else was a bit run down.

Hiking up & down to the room with luggage is bit troublesome, so the rooms with better lake view may not be suitable for elderly folks. The bathroom had strange smells, there were black ants in the room, gap between the room door and the wall whereby there were see through hole in between. The bed was bad, as 1 of the stand broke, therefore when we sleep, the bed sinks, on 2nd day we had to move the mattress down so that we could have a better sleep. The staffs at the reception not friendly at all, no smiles or greetings. Our check-in/out both was done from the eatery place instead of the reception counter itself. Upon arrival our room was flooded due to rain & wet balacony, luckily they changed to another room to fix quickly but it was also flooded & we let them to clear it while we grab our quick dinner. I regret booking here, I booked a very basic hotel in Berastagi (Kaesa Homestay) whereby the amount I paid much lesser than Vandu's, yet I had better experience there though its a very basic room.
