Welcoming and friendly - an oasis.

An oasis with marvellous views of the city Comfortable room and great food and chilled vibe

Location is at top of steep hill - so a bit of a walk to get down into the town. As I was only staying one night - it was a perfect place just to relax and recover from my travels but you couldn’t simply wander out to hotel to the shops

Fabulous curated hotel by the exceptional Gail Behr. Book your stay!

This is a beautiful hotel formed by a collection of buildings with curated bedrooms, well thought out communal internal spaces and gardens with exceptional informal staff. It feels like we are returning home each time we stay. There are fabulous views from many rooms but particularly the roof terrace overlooking Table Mountain and the harbour. The food offering is interesting and substantial, and it is definitely worth booking dinner.

The best views in Cape Town! Amazing, attentive staff around the Hotel. A huge choice of homemade jams/green figs /bread to choose from daily. We love the treats in the rooms, rusks with coffee and the piece of just enjoying the view.

the breakfast was very nice and the location was interesting (perched above Cape Town and above the Bo Kaap neighbourhood)

Very individual and beautiful hotel

We arrived on New Year’s Eve and felt like walking into an oasis of calmness and style. Very quirky and individual styling, large comfortable rooms and lots of lovely spaces to sit. We ate there both nights as it was such a lovely place and excellent restaurant. They don,t have an alcohol license but you can bring your own and probably due to it being new year they offered free champagne to guests. Staff were all friendly and excellent without fail. Once note: the hotel is situated at the top of a very steep hill. Walking is fine but a certain fitness helps. Ubers happy to go there though. Unique and memorable experience

One of the best hotels I've stayed in.

What an experience! - This hotel is everything and more! It transports you back to a world gone by and is a real journey of the senses and the ultimate indulgence. No detail is spared, the staff went above and beyond- I even got a room upgrade to one of their best suites with magnificent views of Table Mountain. I would highly recommend Dorp at least once on your life!

There are many tiny pools. A bit larger pool in the sum would be a warm welcome! Maybe in the inner garden? Maybe add some elevators for elderly people or disabled people.

The uniqueness, the ambience,the decor, the staff and the view of table mountain. And the food! Without doubt one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. I loved the staff - all of them - could not have been more helpful. Will definitely go back.

Not for someone who wants a standard boring corporate hotel - it is far superior to any of those. Only criticism (insignificant) is it is at the top end of Bo Kaap and not for the faint hearted to walk home in the afternoon sun but easy enough to get Ubers to take you home

Lovely place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Cape Town

Wonderful hotel above Bo Kaap and if you don't have your own wheels, an easy 10 minute Uber/Taxi to the waterfront. Elegance personified once inside and the staff make you feel very welcome. Very large and extremely comfortable room and we enjoyed little touches like having the bed turned down in the evening, Delicious and extensive breakfast which can be taken on a terrace with views of Table Mountain. For an even better panoramic view of the whole of Cape Town, just head up to the roof terrace !

Incredible view from this hilltop hotel in safe residential neighborhood. Staff very helpful and small restaurant for dinner gets high marks.

A funky boutique hotel with large rooms, very comfortable. However a bit dated so don’t expect a modern type room. It may be hard for some people to walk from hotel but Ubers plentiful and inexpensive.

Just fabulous we will be back

The hotel is charming and quirky, staff are attentive and fun. Its just the most incredible location with views of Table Mountain and the harbour. Its close to everything but you really do not want to leave.

There really are no complaints - breakfasts were included which we did not think we had booked for the breakfast was incredible as were all other meals we had there. its just wonderful to explore the interesting seating areas read the many books on display for guests
