Relaxing 1 bedroom apartment at 5 Star Resort

Perfect location. I’ve stayed here before, so I know the place well, and I’ll definitely be staying again next year. The concierge service is absolutely phenomenal.

The person behind the Booking.com messages, Olesia, should not be working in customer service at all. First of all, we have stayed with this company previously, in the same location but a different apartment. They were fully aware of my situation and knew in advance that we were arriving for a 19-night stay. Despite this, the apartment was completely unprepared for guests. Issues included: * No bowls. We were initially given only two mugs despite there being three guests, and I had to chase them for more. * No welcome book or proper information explaining how things in the apartment worked. * The door lock didn’t work properly — eventually fixed. * No mugs, so I had to buy my own. * Very limited choice of pans — one very small and one huge. * The safe wasn’t working — eventually fixed. * Only two bed covers for three guests — an extra one was eventually delivered. * The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. * The toilet flush stopped working in one of the bathrooms — eventually fixed. * The sink tap was very difficult to operate — this was not fixed during my stay. * The internet stopped working. I spent the first few days of my holiday constantly chasing them to fix basic issues. We were staying for almost three weeks — the apartment should have been properly checked and prepared before our arrival. The concierge service was absolutely phenomenal, which makes the attitude of the person dealing with the Booking.com messages even more disappointing. Instead of apologising for the issues, Olesia actually blamed me, telling me to “please stop looking for issues around the place” and that I could move out and receive a refund. I found this response absolutely shocking. The apartment was clearly not prepared for our arrival, despite the company knowing exactly when we were arriving and the length of our stay. I was not “looking for issues” — I simply expected the apartment to be properly prepared and for basic facilities to work.
