    This hotel has a small gym with limited equipments. I like the breakfast spread which contains the local delights with brief descriptions. The bed is comfortable as I slept well. The water pressure of the shower head is good and there is no bath.

    I arrived a day earlier than my wife and checked in very early, around 7:30 AM. I was told I could either wait until 12:00 PM or pay an additional $65 for early check-in. I was tired after travelling so I paid it. During check-in, I mentioned that my wife would be joining the next day and that we would be celebrating her birthday. The receptionist actually offered to arrange a pleasant surprise for her, which I appreciated at the time. Unfortunately, the room I received had a strong mold-like smell, and the windows could not be opened for ventilation (this was not mentioned in the room description). I was too exhausted to deal with it at that moment and went to sleep. The next morning, I requested to change the room due to the smell. I was told the new room would be ready by the time I returned from the airport, where I was picking up my wife. However, when we got back ~1.5 hours later, the room still wasn’t ready. They eventually offered an “upgrade”, though the way it was presented felt as if we were being done a favor rather than correcting an issue. The new room was actually smaller, and the bed was not king size as booked, but at least the window opened and there was no smell — so we accepted it and did not ask for another change. During our stay, the heating/AC system seemed faulty. On two nights the room became extremely cold in the middle of the night (around 2–3 AM). The heater only worked intermittently. And regarding the birthday surprise that was mentioned twice: nothing happened. Not even a simple greeting. When I mentioned this during checkout, the manager asked “Why didn’t you inform us?” — even though two of their staff had already taken note of it. This really came down to poor internal communication and lack of follow-through. Breakfast was average and felt similar to what you’d expect in an Ibis — quite basic in taste and presentation. Overall, the hotel itself has potential, but the service consistency and staff coordination need serious improvement. I had really hoped for a smoother and more welcoming stay, especially given the occasion we were celebrating.
