A pity and a disappointment. The reservation was made through Booking.com. It warns of the rental of sheets/towels (price not specified) and parking (€ 12.00 /day). It also indicates that Booking.com takes your payment for this stay on behalf of the property, but suggests to make sure you have cash for any extras once you get there. When the owner was asked a few days before arrival about the additional charges, he mentioned the exorbitant price of € 50.00 for towels, sheets, and kitchen rags. You can bring your own, but take into account the weight of your luggage. He also mentioned the daily € 12.00 parking if desired. He never mentioned the electricity until arrival. The announcement also indicates in the fine print: Must-know information for guests at this property that “a damage deposit of € 125 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed within 14 days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full by bank transfer, subject to an inspection of the property”. FALSE !!! You must know that the guarantee is never fully reimbursed since the owner deducts the electricity from it, which is a distortion of the nature of a guarantee that is established for damages caused. In addition, €125.00 given as a deposit were converted into €123.25 by the transfer …!!! credit card fees at the charge of the card holder???? Concerning the energy, after a quick search, I found out that the charge to the tenant per kwh is overpriced. Besides, it is necessary to cross an inhospitable basement to take a photo of the electricity meter upon arrival and departure from the apartment.

Regarding the facilities, they are average, but the living room furniture is pitiful, the chairs of the dining room and the mattresses are stained, and the second bedroom is a mess. Anyone reading this review is advised not to expose themselves to unpleasant surprises.

the location of the apartment is excellent, just steps away from the beach and easily reachable by public transport. the hosts are very nice and answered all of our questions promptly. They also allowed an earlier check-in which we very much appreciated, as it allowed our kids to nap. The apartment is very well equipped (i.e. even kids' crockery and cutlery) and TV channels are numerous. Several excellent restaurants in the area and a nearby supermarket that came handy.

please note that linen and electricity, used also for heating is to be paid for extra (deducted from deposit paid on check-in). no problem with that but it would be better to clearly state it on Booking.com. even though smoking is forbidden inside, the apartment had a mild scent of smoke (we got used to it). the sound isolation is pretty good for its central location, however you will hear some noise from apartments above.

Gilbert was a superb person. So welcoming we really enjoyed our stay at mirage and will definitely return in the future. Thankyou very much for a lovely stay.

There was a problem with hot water which Gilbert fixed as soon as he was able to.

Un grand merci à Gilbert pour son accueil, nous avons passé un super week-end, la seule chose à prévoir, c est de quoi pendre ses essuies après la douche .appartement propre et bien garni.tres confortable. Nous reviendrons certainement.

Vacances en famille une semaine pour les fêtes de fin d'année

Très bon accueil de la part du propriétaire, qui a fait l'effort de parler français. Il nous a attendu devant le garage à notre arrivée pour pouvoir rentrer directement dedans. Localisation parfaite, à quelques minutes du centre ville. Beaux espaces dans l'appartement.

Garage payant, comme partout dans oostende. Mais à 12€ par jour, je m'attendais à mieux que ça. Tout juste pour rentrer avec mon SUV. Ensuite c'était manœuvre sur manœuvre pour pouvoir se garer et le stress permanent de pouvoir retrouver ma voiture en l'état étant donné les quelques centimètres qui séparent les places de parking. Électricité payante, c'est indiqué dans l'annonce, sauf que l'appartement est très mal isolé. Avec des températures de 0 dehors, nous nous sommes reteouves avec une facture de 100€ d'électricité Les luminaires du salon et de la salle à manger ne fonctionnaient plus, ainsi que les lampes de chevet Le chauffe eau, une catastrophe. Des que quelqu'un prend un bain, celui ci se coupe. Plusieurs fois sur la semaine, nous nous sommes retrouvés sans eau chaude (en plein hiver rien de mieux...). Literie très vieillissante et tâches sur le matelas. Attention aux radiateurs électriques de la salle de bain et de la chambre qui sont vraiment en piteux états et ne tiennent quasi plus aux murs. 900€ la semaine 100€ électricité 94€ de garage A ce prix là, je m'attendais à beaucoup mieux.
