A LOVELY AUTUM BREAK

We were very friendly made welcome at our check-in. The room was very nice, spacious and very clean. We very much enjoyed the breakfast buffet as well as the nice atmosphere sitting outside in the evening and enjoying the view over the canal. We did enjoy our stay, so we already made a booking for Spring next year.

Always enjoyable to return to Sluis and to stay at Rivers

Been before a number of times and remains an excellent place to stay with everything on your doorstep ! Hardworking staff Excellent shower

Like our previous visits it is quite cold in the breakfast room, so take an extra layer down. Choice is a little limited regarding fruit and yoghurt flavour, but there is enough to enjoy. This is just a personal choice :-)

Location is in the centre of town so good for getting around. The room was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was exceptional with loads of choice. Staff were friendly and very helpful - we will be staying again. Also tried the restaurant food and that was really good and well presented.

New mattresses required please as did sink a bit in the middle but it didn’t spoil our stay 😊

Excellent place to stay

Located in a splendid city, on the bank of a water canal. Large, welcoming, modern and comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful person. Breakfast was very good. I recommend this hotel with all my heart. We felt wonderful here. If I come to this area again, I will stay at this hotel for sure. Everything was perfect.

Comfortabele stay in historic centre

Right in the middel of the historic old town, it doesn't get any beter. Breakfast was great: fresh, plenty of choices and goed Coffee and fresh Orange jus.

Perfect location in centre of town - room modern and comfortable - very clean - soft bed - good breakfast

parking a little way off about 5 mins walk in a public car park so not guaranteed a place if it’s busy as Sluis always seems to be - focus of staff is on the restaurant side the rooms seem to be more of a side line

Room and bathroom were modern and very clean. In the centre of the village, close to many nice shops!

Fan instead of airco is not sufficient when outside temperature is 30+ degrees Celsius. No elevator, and no service offered to bring luggage to 2nd floor (= 4 stairs...). It felt like the hotel-guests are less important than the many visitors to the bar and restaurant.

Brilliant location. Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were spacious, well furnished and very clean. We had a large private terrace with our room. Parking was free and about a 5-10 minute walk away. The bar downstairs had a good selection of light snacks and was welcomed after a drive up from Calais. My only criticism was that I found the mattress so soft.

Excellent place to stay at 1hour by bicycle from Bruges and half an hour to Knokke.

Prompt check-in at arrival with beautiful cosy room at the front side of the hotel overlooking the canal. The shower was just perfect and the room was impeccable. Great breakfast too.

Wonderful 3 night stay, well received by staff who are very informative.

Fabulous location on the water with lovely terrace and shopping area nearby. Loads of restaurants to choose from and Sluis is a good location for sightseeing trips in NL as well as Belgium plus the coast is nearby. Breakfast was good, self service and they have a fresh orange juice machine which was a plus!

As we mentioned during check out, a minor point was the lighting in the room which we suggested can be solved by installing a dimmer. The main light was too bright but the light by the bed does not function as a reading light.

Comfortable and cozy

Nice small scale hotel for an overnight stay in the centre of the charming city of Sluis. The breakfast buffet is overwhelming, but it's the same every morning so it could get boring after two or more nights. Great rain shower in the bathroom, clean room with nice view, comfortable beds.

The spiral staircase up was not friendly for our large suitcases, and unfortunately there was no elevator. In the room few space for big suitcases either. The fruits at the breakfast were not that fresh.

Het hotel was niet wat we verwacht hadden.

Vriendelijke ontvangst en goede locatie.

Kamer was basis ondanks dat we een comfort kamer hadden. Alles was basis aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. Het ontbijt was slecht, uitgedroogd brood. Je voelde je er weinig gast.

De ligging midden in het centrum..buitenterras was nog volop in gebruik met behulp van heaters Ontbijt was netjes geregeld Prijs was heel goed

Het geheel was wel aan een opknapbeurt toe...zeker de gang en trappen(vloerbedekking en deuren)
