The location was great. Staff friendly and facilities clean most of the time.

The doors of the rooms are very noisy so even if you wanted you couldn’t avoid making noise and the first night we hardly slept with the groups that were staying and music and noise in the corridors even at 3am. The third night it was just us so good night but woken at 7:25 by housekeeping talking in the corridor and opening and closing doors (quiet times are 10pm-8am). The rooms are spacious but there is very little ventilation. One has to climb on a bunk and stand on it and lean over to open or close a little tilted window. I closed it in the evening because the bar bins for the bottles were next to the window so to keep the noise of the glass bottles hitting the crates or the chatting or music from the staff at bay I closed it. There are no hangers or hooks in the room making it almost impossible to dry towels after showering. We had wet towels for 3 days - especially after visiting the neighbouring pool the pool towels stayed too wet to use 2 days later. For a hostel a few facilities would be nice to have. Not sure if the value for money holds when you add the breakfast or dinner in the place itself or add the breakfast we had out every day. It all added up and so I am not sure I would stay here again on my own with two kids. Great area if you’re a group or into the crowd of the club but not sure I would recommend instead of a hotel to stay while in Knokke for a beach holiday with the kids.
