Great location, great fr walking around lake

GOOD LOCATION GREAT HOTEL LOVELY SPACIOUS ROOMS GOOD BATHROOMS CLOSE TO THE LOCAL RESTAURANTS & SHOPPING , VERY CLOSE TO THE OLD TOWN , EVERYTHING WAS WITHIN WALKIN DISTANCE & THE SUPERMARKET WAS 700M AWAY FRIEMNDLY HOTEL STAFF & GOOD SERVICE

BREAKFAST NEEDS ATTENTION , NO PROPER CHEFS , VERY BASIC , NO WESTERN FOOD OPTIONS FOOD WAS ALWAYS COLD , NO BREAKFAST MANAGEMENT STAFF NEEDS TO WEAR CHEFS UNFORMS

Location - the hotel was close to the center of town. (I don't know if it actually was the center of town, but it was fine).

The bathroom shower has a water problem, as in the position of the shower head made the water collect on the side of the tub and then spilled over into the floor. Big puddles! Secondly, if you are not very nimble, you won't like the tub and the manner you need to 'climb' into the shower. Elderly folks will not be happy.. Also, the puddles on the floor will cause someone to slip eventually. (You have to be careful getting in/out of the tub).

We chose this location based on pictures and reviews. The lobby was as pictured but the rooms were dated. The outside of the hotel was not as pictured because the building had an additional cafe or office building attached to it which took away from its beauty. It was close to the lake and walking distance from the Train to Fansipan, and shopping. The breakfast was lacking in options, and I would say it was not good. Staff was awesome though and very helpful storing our luggage while we took a tour.
