Olive Hostel Lagos

Very good location, friendly staff. Rooms were spacious and facilities were good.

My room wasn’t really clean upon arrival. I saw quite some hairs, after which the staff immediately came to clean it. However, when I wanted to go to bed, I also noticed hairs in the bed and a make up stain on the pillow. I didn’t feel comfortable, so I went to reception, they helped me change the sheets. I don’t think this is a regular occurrence, though. But it was a bit of a pity.

being in a separate building to the main hostel, maybe notice/warning that this will happen as it’s a little isolating!

Very friendly staff who are always available for questions, people in the hostel were also very nice. It's very easy to strike up conversation and ask someone if they have dinner plans or want to go out. Many solo Travellers. Lagos itself is very Tourist based but has very charming streets and shops. You can go for a relaxing walk at the boulevard that is a 5 min walk. At the Marina harbor you can also book activities like boat and kayaking trips. Would really recommend!

Clean , only 3 beds in the room I was in. Can cook there if you want. They had women’s santry towels in the toilet. Smelled nice like incense in the hostel. The key had a huge keyring on it so you couldn’t loose it. I felt safe.

I hated the noise outside, it was so frustrating trying to sleep. Gangs of people would come from the bars late in the night and make noise outside for hours, there is no escaping the noise you just need to wait for it to stop so you can sleep
