Midwood Cottage – Secluded Coastal Holiday Cottage in Alnmouth, Northumberland
Midwood Cottage is a beautiful coastal holiday cottage in Alnmouth, set in a stunning and peaceful location just moments from the beach and village centre. Tucked away within a secluded woodland garden rich in wildlife, this charming cottage offers the perfect escape for couples or small families seeking relaxation on the Northumberland coast.
The cottage is just a five-minute walk to Alnmouth’s golden sandy beach and village, and around 15 minutes on foot to Alnmouth railway station. Many guests choose to arrive by train, and we are happy to offer a local pick-up by arrangement.

Relax and rejuvenate in this welcoming self-catering holiday cottage in Alnmouth, ideally located within the Northumberland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With wonderful scenic walks from the doorstep and miles of coastline to explore, Midwood Cottage is an ideal base for a coastal break.
Accommodation
Midwood Cottage is beautifully furnished in a fresh New England style, creating a light, airy and welcoming space throughout.
Spacious kingsize bedroom with a luxurious en-suite shower room
Open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with comfortable seating
Round dining table seating up to four guests
Doors opening directly onto the private woodland garden with bird feeding station.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, electric cooker and washer/dryer. Guests also enjoy free Wi-Fi and Netflix during their stay.
Garden & Outdoor Space
Access to Midwood Cottage is via a long private drive, shared with neighbouring Midwood Lodge. There is on-site parking for two cars.
The large, secluded woodland garden surrounding the cottage is a true highlight and a paradise for children and nature lovers alike. Features include:

Plenty of space for outdoor games
Patio area for alfresco dining in the summer months
Secure bike shed for cyclists
