6 nights in Balcony Villa

Our apartment was very spacious and clean. The owner and staff were also very friendly and always helpful. We rented a scooter directly from the accommodation, which was convenient and straightforward. The entire facility itself is clean and well-maintained. I must say, I cannot recommend this accommodation to people with disabilities or other physical limitations who would be unable to cope with the effort of climbing many stairs. Even though everything is generally nice and clean, several steep staircases have to be climbed to reach the apartments. The way from the town to the accommodation is uphill but not steep, then from the entrance of the property a street with high incline goes up to the reception which we always went up with the scooter. From there multiple layers of stairs take you to the room. For us (young couple) that was no issue but it should be considered. The atmosphere at sunset was very beautiful, though, and the view of the jungle and nature is fantastic.

Don't expect too much from the sea view. You can only see the sea and boats in the distance. The kitchen also has no cooking facilities such as hotplates or an oven.

Room was spacious and clean, view from balcony was exceptional. Bed is firm, but comfortable. Checkout is quite early, but no major issue.

Owner is very accommodating

The bed is confortable, and room is big and with a nice little terasse. It is a bit far from the town by at least you can relax and enjoy without noise (or only lovely bird noise). And you can rent a scooter directly at the hotel. It will be around 50-100bats/day more expensive than what you can find in town but they are premium and in perfect condition. Also you can be sure the owner is trustable and he really make everything to accommodate you !

Everything was great for us but there is a lot of stairs to access the room so it’s not recommended for old/disabled peoples.

Superb

We had the villa with two bedrooms, which was perfect for 3 persons, with much space and comfortable bed. The A/C on each bedroom was much appreciated! The large balcony equipped with chairs and sunbed was a real plus, especially because it remained on the shade almost all day, except at sunset. The manager and the workers were very kind. The location of the resort is far from the crowd, the villas are surrounded by the jungle. We felt like home since the first day!

The single negative point about this place is the distance from it to Sairee Beach and restaurants, and the very steep slope to access the place. You must plan to rent a motorcycle, or get ready for sweating while walking in and out. It's doable though.

Poor cleanliness, bedding was stained. Room was not cleaned during the 3 days we stayed there. Intermittent power supply, frequent power cuts. Advertised as having a TV in the room, TV was not working.

Reasonable value for money, not 10 out of 10 and quite some improvement points

First of all, it is a complete mystery to me why people just give 10 out of 10 scores just like that, in all sorts of reviews, and here on booking dot com as well, and for this accomodation as well. Let me remind you, 10 out of 10 means completely perfect, nothing went wrong, nothing to improve. Please be more critical when this is required, it is better for everyone, the accomodation, the host, future clients, come on! Balcony Villa is at a convenient location in the middle of the island, most attractions and sites are well reachable, but a scooter is handy/required. Walking means up the hill and climbing the stairs at the accomodation. This is no surprise because it is in most reviews, but just to know. The room we had was spacious but dated. Furniture is dated, some maintenance would do good. The bed was comfortable. The room has nice view over the hills and the sea. We had requested an extra cooker in advance, that was there, good job!

Some say this no problem, and this is no problem until there is an issue, then it may become a problem. In my opinion, the last two years have been tough with the pandemic, but there was plenty of time to learn some more English (or tidy up the place). Unfortunately the room was not clean when we arrived. The accommodation was far from completely booked so staff had all the time in the world to deliver the room to us immaculate. Missed chance. After we notified they cleaned the room. Kitchen amenities are not complete, some extra cutlery would be handy, just as cleaning materials etcetera. We stayed in the room for 7 nights, so complete amenities would be handy. The site overall could do with some maintenance, once again, it has been two tough years but all the time in the world to do some clean up or paint or other maintenance.

Beautiful, secluded villa with an amazing view

Beautiful view, great AC, friendly staff and a clean room. Staff met us to grab our bags as we arrived. Also free water bottles at reception. Drive to downtown on a bike is about 2 minutes, or 15 walking. Huge balcony, great for bringing friends over to watch the sunset. Beautiful garden in the property. Great laundry service

Bathroom stank a little of mold the second day before cleaning, but since they clean every second day it wasn't a big deal. One of the staff didn't speak a ton of English so communication was a bit difficult if he manned the desk, but it was plenty managable

Most of the time the staff wasn't on site, communication mostly by phone. I booked a ferry but didn't get a free transport to the pier as advertised. The floor was a bit dusty.

Very good

Very kind staff that helps you at anytime with everything. They are very friendly. They helped us finding a scooter when nothing was available. The location was very nice and calm as well.

It could've been a bit cleaner and our view was not so nice because we had the lowest of the apartments. Also we realized our clothes smell a bit moist/moldy now after leaving. Might just be because of the long Corona break.

Vue sublime, éloignement des commerces et restaurants

L'hôtel est très calme, à l'écart des lieux animés. Comme il est en hauteur, on a une vue plongeante sur la vallée qui descend jusqu'à la mer. C'est magnifique.

L'hôtel est un peu éloigné des commerces et restaurant et il faut grimper une côté escarpée pour y arriver, mais on est largement récompensé par la vue extraordinaire depuis la chambre !
